Here' a little something I wrote for all my fellow Americans 🇺🇸 called: Red, White and You --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Red, White and Blue Everybody’s mad these days Everybody’s looking for someone to blame Turn on the news and it’s all the same Another fight and another name People screaming in the street Anger burning in the summer heat Nobody listens Nobody tries Everybody just picks a side We forgot how to talk We forgot how to hear Now the whole country’s drowning in fear Everybody’s turning red Mad as hell from the words being said Blaming anybody white Like that’s gonna make the wrong things right The anger’s loud The hurt is true But hate won’t heal what we’ve been through Now the whole nation’s feeling blue Because it's all about the Red, White and You! Some folks carry pain from the past Some folks feel judged for things they never had Everybody’s pointing somewhere else But nobody’s looking at themselves We keep fighting over skin and pride While the truth gets buried on both sides If we keep tearing each other apart There won’t be much left of this heart We forgot we’re neighbors We forgot we’re friends We keep breaking what we should mend Everybody’s turning red Mad as hell from the words being said Blaming anybody white Like that’s gonna make the wrong things right The anger’s loud The hurt is true But hate won’t heal what we’ve been through Now the whole nation’s feeling blue Because it's all about the Red, White and You! Red from the anger White from the blame Blue from the hurt We all feel the same One nation divided but still trying to see it through Don't make it about you Make it about the Red, White and Blue!
