Skeletal vs chronological age in young soccer players ā AMSSM 2024, Baltimore.
In our cohort of elite and subāelite academy players, skeletal age was significantly ahead of chronological age, and elite players showed higher skeletal age and somatic maturity than subāelite peers. This has clear implications for talent ID, competition standards, and how we interpret āearlyā or ālateā developers.
