OK, I should have realized that most of the posts on X complaining about inauthentic content demonetizations are not serious. It's just clout chasing within communities of other inauthentic content producers. but alas...
Replying to @realdata3d1
you people are not serious. your template is this: 1. download some set of stats. Like tallest person by x, or richest person by y 2. put them in a list 3. do a panning animation that goes through the listicle 4. redo "tallest [a] by [b]" "richest [c] by [d]"

Literally just reading Reddit posts and their comments.
Hello @TeamYouTube @YouTube @YouTubeCreators @nealmohan @UpdatesFromYT, I am trying my hardest to get a real person to review my channel, ScalingStories, and watch my appeal/behind-the-scenes video with the full context of how my content is made. My channel was demonetized for “inauthentic content,” but I genuinely believe that label does not reflect my work. I understand why YouTube has policies against mass-produced, repetitive, automated, or minimally transformed content. I respect those rules, and I would never want to build my channel in a way that goes against them. But my videos are not automated, low-effort, or mass-produced. They are voiced by me, edited by me, and built around my own commentary, reactions, and personal perspective. I record my own gameplay/background footage, manually edit in DaVinci Resolve, and use custom avatars to represent myself while speaking to my viewers. I do not simply read stories and upload them. I add my thoughts throughout the video, explain my perspective, react to the choices being made, and try to make the content entertaining, thoughtful, and useful for my audience. My viewers directly respond to my commentary in the comments, which shows they are engaging with my personal contribution, not just the original story. I also made a behind-the-scenes video showing my process because I wanted to demonstrate that this is real, manual work. I am a genuine creator who cares deeply about the community I have built, and even after being demonetized, I have continued making videos because I do not want to let my viewers down. I am not asking for special treatment. I am just asking for a fair manual review from someone who can look at my actual content, watch my appeal video, and determine whether my channel truly fits the “inauthentic content” policy. Please help me get ScalingStories reviewed by a real person. This you?
It's been almost 2 months since YouTube demonetized me for "Inauthentic Content," even though I record and edit everything myself, handwritten edit. I submitted my video appeal on April 9, just hours after the penalty, but it seems to have been completely ignored.. @TeamYouTube

...this you?
I've now been demonetized for 32 days, and no human has ever reviewed my channel or appeal. It's not just depressing to know that all I get are template responses from bots, but also terrifying to think an Ai has the power to completely upend a person's livelihood. My content is created by me, using my own voiceover, visuals, edits, scripts and storylines. NO ai is used in my videos. Furthermore, my appeal video was never viewed by anyone, yet it was rejected because it "was not representative of my channel". I showed everything, my entire workflow, the point of the videos. @TeamYouTube @YouTube @YouTubeCreators I once again sincerely request a manual human review of my channel. I'm 100% sure any misunderstanding will be resolved once that happens.

A...are people hiring random white guys from Fiverr to try to make their pity case for their AI slop??? What a time to be alive!
YouTube demonetized my channel, Fluffy Animal Tales, for “Inauthentic content” a few weeks ago. I want to share my full story because this decision has seriously affected my work, my channel, and the animals I try to help. Fluffy Animal Tales is a wildlife storytelling channel focused on emotional rescue stories, animal rehabilitation, and the bond between humans and wild animals, especially bobcats and lynx. Every video is created with care. We research real wildlife rescue situations, build original storylines, write the scripts ourselves, create unique visuals, edit each video manually, and shape every story to spread kindness, awareness, and respect for animals. This is not automated content. This is not mass-produced. This is not reused content. Every video is made with effort, emotion, and a clear purpose. Because of this demonetization, YouTube has removed over $15,000 from my channel. This money helped support the work behind the channel and our mission to keep creating meaningful animal rescue stories. It disappeared almost overnight with no real explanation. I submitted an appeal video showing my full creation process step by step, but I believe it was rejected by an automated system without a real human review. The response felt like a copy-paste message that many other creators have received. I have followed the process. I have reached out. I have provided details. But I keep hitting the same wall. All I am asking for is one real person at YouTube to actually review my channel and my appeal fairly. @TeamYouTube @YouTubeCreators @YouTube, please do the right thing. If you believe creators deserve fair treatment, please repost this.
Community note
Own appeal admits stories often fictionalized/dramatized, not real rescues as claimed. 500 vids churned out look like AI farm slop. youtube.com/watch?v=3ykfaR…

i feel like what's happening in this case specifically is that YouTube "wanted" to get at the channels that are just audio narrations of reddit horror stories or 4chan greentexts, and then they wrote a rule that would also penalize vocal dubs of fan comics. Huge oof.
So YouTube have told me that my videos are “Mass Produced”. These videos: • Take at least 1-2 weeks (sometimes months) to release • Take artists weeks/months to draw • Take around 9 hours per 1 minutes of footage edited • Have varied voice actors in which take great passion in their work • take weeks to organised I worked so hard on all of these videos and so did everyone else who poured their talents and passions into the content and they sit there and bare face lie to you. What’s even the point in me uploading these things anymore when the platform itself is saying that the effort is meaningless…

I am not saying YouTube is consistent in enforcement. i'm not saying their inauthentic content policy is well described. I also think the communications back to YouTubers is hot garbage. But...like, if it's vibes based enforcement, it's easy to see how the vibes got this sour.

p.s., this is also why asking for human review doesn't work. Because the humans have to follow a standard operating procedure, adhere to SLAs. These probaby mandate the use of templates for "eFfIcIeNcY". but even if they could speak freely...the policy doesn't help here

people complaining about inauthentic content when their channel looks like:
YouTube is TAKING my hard-earned money, and I’m done with the "copy-paste" excuses. 💀 Reason: “Inauthentic Content” (The SECOND hit in 40 days) 🤡 MAKE IT MAKE SENSE @TeamYouTube: MARCH 17: My channel got its first "Inauthentic Content" hit. MARCH 19: It was REINSTATED after a human reviewed my appeal video, where I explained my entire original script creation, manual audio editing, and video assembly process. APRIL 28: I got hit AGAIN for the exact same workflow. Only this time, the "Video Appeal" button was missing from my dashboard. I had to appeal through a text form, manually sharing the same video link and process that you already verified and approved 40 days ago. I haven't changed a single thing. How was my process "Authentic" on March 19th but "Inauthentic" on April 28th? I have been part of the Dedicated YouTube Partner Manager program since 2024. Are you guys taking a creator's hard-earned money, keeping 100% of the ad revenue for yourself, while labelling the content "inauthentic" just to avoid paying me? You’ll take the profit, but you won't give a Managed Partner a 5-minute human review? THE JOKE OF A "REVIEW" PROCESS: The Disrespect: Your support can't even address my name right, throughout the email calling me "Guarav" (it’s GAURAV) while sending copy-paste rejections. MOCKING A CREATOR IS A NEW LOW!!! The Loop: First, I get a human reply to my appeal(28th April-29th April). Then, to the same thread, an automated "does not comply" copy-paste template. Upon asking, a human says, "We are looking at it." Then that SAME human sends another "does not comply" copy-paste template. SERIOUSLY???????? Ignored Proof (April 28): In my form appeal and every single email to support, I provided the unlisted appeal video where I prove my manual process. The view count has not increased by even ONE single view. This means your "internal team" is rejecting me without even looking at the proof. How can you claim a review was done if the video evidence hasn't been watched? I am a professional creator and founder who has invested years into building Quantum Yogi Wisdom. You already human-verified this channel 40 days ago after my first "Inauthentic Content" strike on March 17th, confirming then that my process was valid. Reversing that decision now with copy-paste replies is a total failure of your own review system. I am a professional creator and founder who has invested years into building Quantum Yogi Wisdom. Like i said, you already human-verified and REINSTATED this exact workflow on March 19. Why is the same process being flagged a second time? Since my appeal video remains unwatched, I have now provided a fresh SCREEN RECORDING and screenshots of my entire process to the same ticket thread. You have the evidence! stop ignoring it. Stop the automated loops. Just let a real human review THIS!! Because the moment someone looks at it closely, this decision falls apart. People complaining about inauthentic content when their channel looks like:
YOUTUBE just demonetized my 440K channel for “inauthentic content” But this is ACTUALLY confusing! Every single video on my channel is: - fully edited by me - original scripting voiceover - countryballs storytelling with - custom humor structure - not reused clips, not reposts, not compilations Yet the system still flags it the same way as low effort content I feel like the word “inauthentic” is being used too broadly, and it’s starting to punish original creators who just happen to use animation styles or commentary formats I’m not asking for special treatment I’m asking for a real review of the content, not just an automated label If anyone from @TeamYouTube actually sees this, I’d genuinely appreciate a second look Because right now it feels like the system is judging format over effort And that’s the part that doesn’t make sense

I want to talk about this diagram but for just the "agile" vs "waterfall" piece. Does Agile necessitate rework? E.g., building a skateboard gets you a usable MVP, but you can't reuse the skateboard to build the car. In waterfall, you are always building up the components the car.
Honestly, this is the most accurate diagram I've seen. Waterfall: You plan for 18 months and deliver exactly what nobody needs anymore. Agile: You deliver something usable at every step, but the CEO keeps asking, "Where's the car?" AI: You get the car on day one. It has six wheels, the doors are on backwards, and it has a rocket launcher. You spend more time making it yours than actually "building"; it's shaping. owning. verifying. That's what the best AI developers do now. They don't build. They shape and own.
