Fascinating, Susanna. You and I both encourage people to be themselves, but what is that exactly? Writing Voice is part of that. I've been writng for over 50 years. My early Voice was trying to impress others. Long sentences. Big words. My Voice is simpler now, I think.

I don't think we should try toi change our voices. I think our voice changes with us as we develop, grow, make different experiences, meet different people. I, for instance, notice that my voice changes with the people that I surround myself with.

I think it gets back to self-awareness. One thing I have not done is to reach out to others and ask them what my Voice is. I might get some insight from others

I am still figuring it out how to teach it. But mainly, I think a large part is to write about stuff that we feel passionate about, allow words to run freely - and read it after a while to see what sits right with us. Too much marketing and content optimization suppresses our voice- too much external opinion, too.

Research suggests that around 80% of leaders think they are aligned with their leadership teams, but only 20% are. Big gap there.

I believe it all comes down to the culture of the company (big or small). Leadership needs to lead by example. I saw the CEO of Nordstrom address employees prior to the opening of a new store. All he could stress was the importance of customer service. #custserv

Purpose can be most clearly seen in your rearview mirror.
Purpose is not something you find one day in a moment of clarity. It is something you build, step by step, through the choices that cost you something and the values you refuse to let go of. Full Read: sites.google.com/view/adelha… #Purpose #PersonalGrowth #LifeLessons

Fascinating conversation, Andrew. As a former clinician involved in many double-blind randomized cross-over trials, it's exciting to see how AI can be helpful in all of the steps of discovery.
Want to do life sciences research with AI? OpenAI has you covered with their program for differentiated access for researchers. Check out this podcast with @joyjiao12 and Yunyun Wang as they explain the progress being made.

I can't think of a more powerful old-fashioned thing than being thankful for all that I have.

We were having dinner at the Mall of America last weekend and our server was one of the coolest humans ever. "I know you see hundreds of people like us, but let me tell you what most people won't - you're amazing!" She was touched and it took so little on my part. #JoyTrain

Great question. I tend to be very impatient with myself, and this too often spills out onto others. Love what is. My favorite mantra.
I am growing at my own speed and on my own terms even if it is slower than you, it is mine and I enjoy every step of it. Do you?

There are literally hundreds and hundreds of books on dieting, countless programs, apps, yet we still struggle with obesity. Less knowing. More doing?
The basics still win. Listen to the last ROLL ON with Adam Skolnick.

Years ago, when I was a nurse, my wife's aunt asked me: "Are you a male nurse?" Being the wise guy that I am, I asked her: "Did the beard give me away?"

We can often see parts of ourselves in our friends. And sometimes, our friends help us to challenge parts of ourselves. They are supportive, loving and understanding. They help us to be our best selves. 💛💐 😊 #ThursdayThoughts #ThursdayMotivation #ThankfulThursday #friends #WellnessJourney #socialconnections #pavingwellness

Fast growing companies often get way ahead of their own positioning. What they do is not in alignment with what they say. Do you find that this is true with customer services as well, Marsha? #SuccessTrain
TONIGHT at 6pm PT/9ET will be another interactive Q&A in the customer service #custserv chat. 👉 Topic: “Growth Changes Everything. Should It Change Your Customer Service Strategy?" Share your opinions with @GregOrtbach & me

And leaving my comfort zone is hard. Part of it is just habit. Comfort has becme a habit for me. I have to be intentional and almost force myself out of my comfort zone, force myself to feel uncomfortable.
Creating more personal content feels more vulnerable. Generic tip-based content feels safer - but is boring and forgettable. If you want to make an impact, you have to leave your comfort zone.
