Building on the momentum from last week’s Training of Trainers, we are now in the next phase, where knowledge meets action 👊
Under the
@EUinKenya funded
#SheriaYaVijana project, young facilitators are now engaging peers from across youth-led organisations and enterprises at YMCA Central, delivering Business Advocacy Training grounded in
#climateaction and
#greeneconomy solutions.
Bridging Knowledge and Practice
In the next 3 days, participants are set to unpack key areas including youth business realities, the influence of policies and development partners, and the practical steps required to design and implement effective
#advocacy strategies, supported by monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
Creating a Pipeline of Advocates
Under the guidance of
@JUSTINEMAGANG10 @_Valerie_d @mukui_yvonne and John Muthui, the training is shaping a new wave of youth advocates equipped to engage with policy spaces and drive meaningful, community-level change.
Why This Matters
Across many communities, youth-led organisations are already responding to
#climatechallenges, creating green jobs, and promoting
#sustainablesolutions.
However, without strong
#advocacyskills, many of these efforts struggle to gain visibility, policy support, or sustainable investment.
This training is therefore an important step in strengthening youth voices and ensuring their work informs decisions that shape the future of climate and
#economicdevelopment.
