A key reason gene editing shouldn't be deregulated is all the hype about its precision & accuracy is BS. Even Harvard's George Church calls #CRISPR "a blunt axe". He says, "it's called editing, I think it's really genome vandalism." Yet the Govt thinks it needs no safety checks!

Israel's poison war: "Slaughtering the Arabs with 'modern' weapons." The use of #glyphosate and white phosphorus by the Israeli army is in the tradition of colonial warfare. And glyphosate and white phosphorus are products of a German corporation—@Bayer jungewelt.de/artikel/523176.…

Glyphosate has been used in both Colombia & Brazil against Indigenous communities to drive them from their land in the interests of big ag corporations. Sprayed from the air, those affected report dizziness, headaches, stomach aches, nausea & diarrhea; doctors speak of poisoning.

Investors are awaiting a US Supreme Court ruling on Bayer’s bid to stop tens of thousands of lawsuits. Around the same time, a fairness hearing over a separate $7.25 billion class-action settlement to resolve current and future cancer lawsuits over Roundup is also scheduled.

Even if both cases go Bayer’s way, the company has other legal battles to face. Bayer already agreed to pay ~$2 billion in PCB settlements, and potentially faces billions more. “The lesson of the last decade I’d draw is: there’s always someone in the US who wants to sue Monsanto”

TFW when you look at an Onion headline and think to yourself "that's actually kind of within the realm of possibility right now" 😬 My first thought was maybe Bayer developed GMO corn that can withstand high temps? The quest is on to monetize fire! theonion.com/epa-approves-us…

🚨 Farmers don't decide what food sells. Consumers do. "Without consumers buying our products, whether here in New Zealand or overseas, farmers don't have a business." Global consumer demand is clearly moving towards non-GMO, organic, natural, and less tampered with food. So why would New Zealand risk one of the strongest food brands in the world? 🎙️ Clip from the GE Honesty Podcast w/ @Farmingwithwalt 🧬 KEEP GE IN THE LAB, NOT OUR FOOD. ✋ STOP THE GENE TECH BILL & HSNO AMENDMENT BILL. #NewZealand #NZPol #Farming #Organic #FoodSecurity #GMO

Thank you so very much @GMWatch for sharing our crowdfunder link. We are immensely grateful to everyone who is supporting us now and who has been by our side from the beginning always believing in us and our vision. The trust and kindness that we have encountered in every way is inconceivable. First-time filmmaking is extra challenging, as you have nothing to show yet and the obstacles just keep on coming. The amazing response we have received so far in our plea to help with our final hurdle has been truly heartwarming. Thank you for this immense support! With special thanks to Claire Robinson and Prof. Michael Antoniou!💛

Abundant natural sources of iron & zinc exist. Primary drivers of malnutrition are economic & structural—not the absence of engineered traits in rice. Techno-fixes such as GMOs fail to address these underlying conditions and risk diverting attention from urgent systemic reforms.
