#WorldAIDSDay is a moment to remember those we have lost, and to renew our commitment to the HIV response and to #endAIDS. Nearly a quarter of the world's 40 million people living with HIV are not on treatment. Yet, in the hardest of circumstances, I have seen this year, countries & communities overcome disruption and push toward more sustainable, inclusive and nationally owned HIV responses. Ending AIDS as a public health threat is within our grasp — we must seize the moment now. Lives are at stake.

Today marks #HumanRightsDay, the 5th anniversary of the Global Partnership for Action to Eliminate All Forms of HIV-Related Stigma and Discrimination, and the conclusion of the #16DaysOfActivism Against GBV campaign. We emphasize the vital role of women in addressing these challenges through meaningful participation. However, we are deeply concerned about how gender backlash has fueled stigma and discrimination across regions. At W4GF, we remain committed to evidence-based advocacy.
