A big thank you to Jacob McNally at Hudson Square Business Improvement District (BID) for yesterday's tour of the Hudson Square community. Over the past decade the BID has made a concerted effort to beautify pedestrian plazas, tree beds, storefront windows and even roll-down gates by highlighting local artists. Not only beautifying the neighborhood, these art pieces help to tell the story of this neighborhood's rich history. As the Hudson Square community continues it's transition from a working waterfront to a leading creative hub, the BID has responded to pedestrian needs by widening sidewalks, adding bike lanes and upgrading their pedestrian plazas. All of these changes has made Hudson Square a more vibrant and safe community for it's visitors, workers and residents.
