These angry popular movements in the countryside of #Idlib, #Hama, and #Aleppo come after a wave of incitement by Salafi religious extremists on social media. One example is a post on Facebook from Salafi Sheikh Abdul Razzaq al-Mahdi al-Dimashqi published eight hours ago, asking former regime loyalists to leave their areas and reminded them of the 24-hour deadline that he said the residents had demanded during their protests.
It is worth noting that a group of men and young men from Qalaat al-Mudiq carried out an attack in March 2026 on the Christian town of #Suqaylabiyah, during which they committed acts of vandalism, destruction, and looting.

🚨 N. #Syria: Bloody attacks on civilians in rural #Idlib over accusations of ties to the former regime
A group of locals carried out a brutal attack on an elderly civilian in the #KafrTakharim area of rural Idlib, accusing him of collaborating with the former regime. They dragged him through the streets and tortured him in a barbaric manner. He is believed to have died from his injuries.
A similar attack took place in the #KafrOweid area of rural Idlib, targeting civilian homes.
Gunmen also shot and killed a young man near his car in KafrOweid, accusing him of ties to the former regime.
So far, it remains unclear how the accusations of collaboration were made against these individuals , even though these areas have been outside the former regime’s control for more than 13 years. Some residents suggested the attacks occurred simply because the victims had lived in areas previously held by the regime.
(I don’t think that even if these accusations were true, it in any way justifies killing people like this. However, with the widespread presence of jihadist sympathizers here on X, especially among those Qatar-backed "academic", it makes me think we should stoop to their level and ask them how these savages came to believe that these individuals collaborated with the former regime.)

Today, as part of the "The Path of Their Heroes" project, veterans of military operations and their families participated in an obstacle race.
Guys with various injuries and amputations completed the challenging course on an equal footing with all participants of the "Heroes' Path" race. The only difference was that they weren't running for speed, but to complete the course and overcome themselves again.
The tests were truly difficult: many water obstacles, ditches, steep ascents. Some had prostheses that got stuck in the mud, and they had to remove them, overcome the obstacle, and put them back on.
For example, running or climbing a mountain with a knee-high prosthesis is quite a challenge. Here, everyone helped each other to make it to the finish, so that they could later say to themselves: "I could do it."
I was happy to see the guys who were the heroes of our stories and have now become our friends. I'm proud of you, guys.
