Want a professional game developer (me) to do a last-minute QA check on your Steam Next Fest demo? Do mine (The Devil's Due) and I'll do yours. DM me if interested. I like roguelites and top-down shooting. RT appreciated.

When one of my games finally becomes a massive mega-hit, I am going to pretend it did not change me and that I am still a chill, down-to-earth guy.

Day 24: Today's release pick is You Know the Drill. A bit surprised that a game that looks so fun and juicy only has 338 followers at launch. I guess the incremental space is getting really crowded. store.steampowered.com/app/3…

Speaking of cheeky, this is the pop-up I show players who skip the tutorial.

One challenge with The Devil’s Due: because it’s easy to learn, players often think they’ve mastered it. But there’s a surprising amount of skill beneath the surface. Not sure how to communicate that. The game is quite cheeky, but “It’s not RNG, you just suck” is too much 😅

Day 23: Wasteland Outpost is today's release pick. I love building up defenses to fight off PVE and PVP attacks. But I don't really have the patience for the bigger survival games. So maybe wasteland can scratch my itch. store.steampowered.com/app/4…

Oh, making games wasn’t a get rich quick scheme? I think a lot of people leave the games industry for very valid reasons. And more should question if this is something they really want to bet their livelihood on.
Quitting after the first failure.

Joachim (the artist) and I try to push ourselves to ensure that every opponent in The Devil's Due is unique in both gameplay and visuals. Like this painter, whom you meet in the Pride layer of hell.

The key to defeating him is making the same hand that he has - "And here I thought I was original."

Day 22: today's pick is Unlucky Mummy by @KaraclanVed, a gambling incremental that offers a 1-in-16,777,216 chance of winning. I like those odds 😂. Fun hook, so sad to see that it is sitting at just 17 followers. Indie dev, dont't showdrop you game. store.steampowered.com/app/4…

I have the same philosophy for my games as I do for parenting. I might have been responsible for their creation, but they have their own personalities, wants, and needs. My job is to help guide them into becoming the best version of themselves.

The Pegfinity demo is now live on Steam! 🎉 Launch balls. Trigger ridiculous chain reactions. Unlock upgrades. Watch the numbers go completely out of control. #gamedev #godot #indiedev

“This one is actually a bit fun”. My artist trying the latest prototype for new game idea. He keeps me grounded 😂 To his defence, I make a lot of prototypes that I get him to play 😅

Also, this game idea is fantastic, goty 2027 type of thing. Touching the cape of God, really. So yeah, maybe keeping me grounded is not such a bad thing 🤣

YouTube's algorithm really hates Rusty. They don't ban her; they just don't give her the visibility her engagement deserves. Which is extra sad, as all Rusty wanted was to be loved.

Hmm. And X decided to label her Adult Content. I don't think Rusty would mind, though.

The biggest upgrade I have had in my career is going from making the games I could find funding for, to making the games that I want to make. And I intend to fight fiercely to keep it!

Day 20: Today's release pick is Echo Generation 2, looks smashing. They had me at the Deckbuild and JRPG tags. I would love it if it were roguelite ofc, but I guess not every game has to be a roguelite 😅 store.steampowered.com/app/1…
