First day done, now onto getting work and housing, at the local library after having met with my caseworker, very helpful lady, however these things take time, especially EmployNV which I will go to after doing some online job applications.. and I definitely need to keep my own phone, I don't want to have a government phone, they suck.. So if there are those who would be willing to send me something for a necessities fund, like keeping my own phone, being able to buy my own clothing.. if I go through the system that takes time and me jumping through hoops.. I just want to get a job right away.. oh and a bus pass.. Applied to several jobs.. not slacking guys.. just need help if possible...things like getting a job takes time even in Reno... despite my skills

I did find a caregiver job, but I need references, however I am getting those from people i went to school with, good reference sources for sure

Turns out this CAREs campus has low income housing apartments, I'd say as big as studios , for 30% of your income.. which is about the same as I paid for a room to rent when I lived in Vegas...it would certainly be easier than to go apartment or room rent hunting in this city.. There's no curfew, you just have to check-in/checkout, go through security which is understandable, they have rules, but honestly this is the least strict homeless shelter I've been in and they have everything.. The low income apartment complex is fairly big, 3 floors, it's a clean campus, the complex looks nice on the outside and the area though kinda rundown is a helluva lot better than what I dealt with in Vegas and certainly better than L.A. reminds me of Chico. They have case managers, on-site nursing staff, mental health counseling, which could really help me, I still got a long road to go on that, and I'm roughly 45 minutes walking from the main local library and as I said 3 big casinos, plus smaller ones.. For at least until I get a job and pay rent for a while in that apartment complex, not a bad place to settle down for a time, staff is nice so far, very accommodating.. Got into the Cares facility.. not too strict, fairly easy to navigate, if I'm lucky by Monday I can get into a pod, single occupancy prefab housing, better than some shelter.. or Wednesday I'll know, just keep my head down, I don't cause trouble.. You get a shower here, laundry here, mail here, 3 meals a day.. they help find you a job, all the things.. it will be a good place to stay with for a little while.. Not far from Truckee California, so I'm in the Sierras now.. and not far from Reno

In 6 hours it will be my D-Day...June 6th heading out of L.A. for Reno... Hopefully my last move, where I can make a life for myself...I don't know, with my ex Jamie getting the psychiatric help she needs & the uncertainty of some former classmates helping me.. Reno is going to be rough at first.. Barely any money.. not sure if any shelter is going to be open for new intakes, $20 in cash, about $130 EBT left.. if anyone wants to help me with getting by, send a little something to my ko-fi.. at least until Monday when I see social services or I get some kind of job.. which will take time.. Or share this post with others please.. another big move..but I can't stay in L.A. anymore.. nothing went right here.. Anyways I'm going to go dark for now..get some dinner, make my way to the bus station.. Well this sucks a lot.. 🕯️🫤 Of any of the characters that were my favorite.. it was Giles.. he was the father to Buffy, that her own father could not be.. and being without my own dad, who had no use for me.. this one hurts, because I wished I had a father like this.. like Giles.. Be at peace Mr. Head, you were one of the good guys.. damnit.. ok this one really does hurt.. he's birthday is the same as my maternal grandmother's birthday was.. Last day in #LosAngeles thank God & Goddess for that... It's been an emotionally tiring and unpleasant 3 weeks in this hellhole & it was all for nothing.. my ex is getting herself committed to a mental health facility due to the stress of her father in the last stages of his life and her son being so depressed he also wanted to end his life.. And I understand.. and love her and hope she gets the help she needs and that her son gets the help he needs.. I don't know when if ever I will see her again.. I'm still going to Reno.. despite the pain and misery.. I have too, Jamie hopes for me to find peace and happiness.. I had hoped it would have been with her.. but I don't know anymore.. got some things to do today my bus doesn't leave until 11:50 pm PDT.. I'll be in Reno tomorrow 1pm.. alone 🫤 Jamie won't be there.. more heartbreak.. But I still love her & I understand why.. that's what real love is.. that's how you're supposed to love someone.. even when they're not around.. you love them and keep going for them..
