Anyone else go into a decline when @GWandShows is either rescheduled or ends for the season? I know so many people for whom it's a highlight of the week & that speaks volumes for the importance of gardens AND gardening programmes for anyone with or without a garden of their own.

We love growing flowers in our gardens, yet we call plants that grow spontaneously "weeds" and kill them...This "unkempt" tree pit in @CityLuxembourg was a biodiversity joy among the concrete: flies, bees, ladybirds etc. How do we learn to accept this "wildness" in our cities? 🌱

Caution: the spring flowering crocuses are not saffron crocuses! Spring crocuses have been in #SaffronWalden for some time (Castle St, Walden Place, @GardenBridgeEnd) Saffron crocuses are a particular variety, Crocus sativus, and flower in the autumn.
