This is the system I would have built if I had unlimited time. Highly endorse.
Agentic Backend Architecture needs to be Composable and Integration-less. iii makes adding any service on engine with simple single command: iii worker add iii-observability iii worker add <literally-anything>

what actually happens wen u loop
Here’s your monthly reminder that you shouldn’t be prompting coding agents anymore. You should be designing loops that prompt your agents.

So much of the last 3 years of agent tooling has just been developers slowly rediscovering state machines and the actor model

Plato ranked Democracy as one of the absolute worst outcomes of humanity and maybe he was in to something. He didn't even know about AI

I had an idea the other night in a dream. It went like: there were Intention Queues in a md file: the Agent would write their intention down in a queue of other agents, instead of worktrees and diff's, this was an artifact meant to be executed contemporaneously. Locks on file changes etc

AI access, instead of bringing Utopian ideals, will of course resort to basic capitalist market dynamics where a select few have basically unlimited token budgets and the rest of the world scrapes by on smaller models, quantization, and Mixture of Experts
Since the GitHub Copilot token apocalypse this month I’ve had zero urge to code. Something I’ve done my entire adult life Just genuinely depressed. How can you be creative while watching money leave your bank account for thinking? And how can you get that dopamine hit knowing you wasted time when an AI could have done it faster? The only people left coding will be those with effectively unlimited token budgets. End of an era for regular developers.

Compute budgets are a loose but fair proxy for developed nations status. What I know is that Utopia is never coming. UBI, limitless time and no work? Thats all nonsense made up by dorks who dont know how humanity or economies work. The work will continue.

if anyone is lost or curious what loops look like with LLMs, here's something I made for clanker months ago, this is from our open source project yes, this consumes A LOT of tokens and the difficult part was to limit it repo down below, this powers clanker cloud

Here is the problem with vibe coding multiple agents at once : the HUMAN CONTEXT window is too small. I solved this with CNVS : Press F and the terminals flip to remind you what they are working on. The agents have clear visuals to represen working / waiting states. The voice assistant notifies you when an agent is ready for your input. gpt-realtime can quickly summarize large responses from agents. there is a caveman mode toggle to force agent to return ultra brief, zero jargon responses. CNVS is vibe coding fully overclocked.
if vibe coding was actually a VIBE : yes you can run remote canvasses straight on your vps and ship to production like a psychopath. yes its built in swift and uses very little memory and is insanely performant. yes it has agentic voice control with gpt realtime 2. yes their is bidirectional agent / canvas control via mcp and cli. yes their is built in shared memory system without bloat. made with love by a dad in his basement who is tired of vibe coding being slow, boring, and constrained. CNVS coming soon.
