Backing local businesses and our high streets is a priority for me as Executive Mayor.
This morning we launched a £500,000 package of targeted support to make it easier to start, grow and invest in Croydon.
We are taking practical action:
• £10,000 grants to bring empty units back into use
• 12 weeks business rates relief for new businesses moving into targeted vacant units
• Up to £5,000 shop improvement grants
• A dedicated business concierge - one clear point of contact into the Council
• Cleaner, safer streets with stronger enforcement
This is about removing barriers, supporting enterprise and bringing confidence back to our high streets.
Croydon means business - restoring pride and confidence in Croydon.
