The truth always has a way of coming to light. I don’t usually share my personal life publicly, but this moment is a turning point for me. A relationship that was once filled with love, unfortunately, became something painful. Love can blind us, especially when we are deeply committed to someone and truly believe they are the person we will spend our lives with. But now I have clarity. I have the truth. And most importantly, I have peace. I am grateful to the person who had the decency to come forward and give me the truth I needed, even though it was painful to hear. That honesty gave me the clarity to finally understand everything and begin moving forward. I am also thankful for the people who have supported me through this, reminded me of my worth, and helped me feel less alone during one of the hardest moments of my life. Today is Day 2 of my rebuild. Day 2 of refocusing on myself. Day 2 of healing, growing, and becoming stronger than what tried to break me. This chapter is closed. This is what our society fails to comprehend. If I work as a physical therapist, and I’m good, I’ll make $100,000/yr. And pay $15,000 in taxes. I can see 60 patients per week. But that’s the end of it. No additional tax money, no more patients can get my services. I provide a living for myself and my family. If I own a practice and employee 10 therapists that each make $100,000, now I’m providing a living for 10 families, and because of my efforts there is now $250,000 in tax revenue. So why should businesses get taxed more? Why should they even have to pay payroll taxes? My value to society is way more than 10X at this point. But the vast majority of Americans can’t comprehend that, neither do our congressional representatives.

Taxing non-income-producing property is wrong. Homeowners should not be forced to work to pay "rent" to the government for the privilege of living in their own homes. Property taxes should only be levied on income-producing property, as the income provides a means to pay the tax.

Today in Minneapolis, ICE agents shot and killed a woman in a shocking incident. Governor Walz has announced the state will ensure a fair investigation, and I am grateful for his swift action. Many of us have seen the horrifying and painful video, which makes it clear that the Trump administration's explanation of this shooting is pure gaslighting. A full and fair investigation at the state level is absolutely necessary.

It is a dark day for our country when political violence has reached this level. I am so deeply heartbroken today by the tragic loss of Charlie Kirk. My prayers are with his wife, children, and loved ones who are grieving this unimaginable pain. Regardless of our views, we cannot allow hatred or division to rob families of their loved ones and communities of their leaders.

Political violence has no place in our nation. We must uphold the right to free speech and respect differences in political opinion. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
