It's unacceptable that people in Northern Ireland have to wait a decade longer for bowel cancer screening, missing five opportunities to prevent or diagnose the disease at its earliest stages when it's easiest to treat & cure. And it would save 70-100 lives a year, AND £££s.
We’re calling on the Northern Ireland Executive to lower the bowel cancer screening age from 60 to 50. Yesterday we hosted an event at Stormont, bringing together MLAs, healthcare professionals, and people affected by bowel cancer.
