Dumbest tweet in the history of Twitter?
Once again Georgia’s Democrats remind us who they really represent…NY and CA liberal elites, not the hardworking people of Georgia.🙄 #gapol

This is judges during oral argument. “Your Honor, you have just used three of my fifteen minutes asking a single question.”
Why are 90% of people verbose in asking questions after talks, spending literally 4 times the number of words necessary to ask their question and usually repeating themselves?

Why are prediction markets high on Georgia when all the analysts I see say it’s headed to a runoff. Do the bettors really think Warnock is a substantial favorite in a runoff?
This all sounds exactly as horrible as I’d always imagined it was.

“If you’re super saavy, and get lucky with supervisors, and have a stay-at-home spouse, you can carefully schedule an hour or so a day when you’re merely ‘on call.’ Heck, you can even get as much as 6.5 hours of sleep some of the time!”

It continues to amaze how me these people refuse to recognize that reacting to speech with contrary speech is also free speech.

Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists. Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America.
Community note
Multiple advertisers have confirmed they are pausing spending while they see what direction Elon Musk takes with the platform. "The growing exodus of advertisers comes amid concerns Musk will scale back misinformation and security protections on the platform." theguardian.com/technology/202…

I saw this billboard today in Denver, which is wild. Your election strategy is try to elicit gay panic within Denver city limits? Not just substantively despicable but also political malpractice.

Why can’t we just pass a law stating that every retail business with more than $X in revenue and more than X sq. feet in space must have a restroom available to the public? That EVERY business would have to do it would spread the cost/burden around so that it’s manageable.

San Francisco is budgeting $1.7 million to build a single public toilet and the procedure required to get it done is mind boggling:

If you’re going to issue a nationwide injunction that literally affects tens of millions of people you should at least have to disclose who you are.
How is this an “administrative stay”? The district court dismissed the suit for lack of standing. Staying *that* does … nothing. This is an emergency injunction — in function if not in form. A temporary one, to be sure (with briefing done by Tuesday), but still…

There was once a debate in the Tenth Circuit over whether this exact fact pattern constituted the use of physical force.

Why is it always Cherokee? How come no one falsely claims to have distant Hopi or Creek ancestry?

I voted at the MSC in 2000 — first prez election I was eligible to vote. So this is sad.
NEW: A Texas official just moved an early voting site off of Texas A&M University’s campus because they claim it has “low turnout”— but data shows it was one of the county’s MOST popular early voting sites in recent elections. texastribune.org/2022/10/04/…

To have read this and automatically assume it was just about snowflake kids who wanted things to be easier says a lot about a person's mindset. Also, though, the story's framing, beginning with the lede, made that type of response more likely.

The thing about being a mid-career lawyer is that younger colleagues expect you to know things -- but you don't.
