PRESS RELEASE: Bill Yuen, office manager at London's Hong Kong Trade Office, has been found guilty of spying on Hong Kong pro-democracy advocates.
Yuen and his accomplice Peter Wai were found guilty of "assisting a foreign intelligence service" under the National Security Act.

@Chloe_chc_25), who carries a £100,000 Hong Kong police bounty, said:
āWe already knew that China is among the worst perpetrators of transnational repression targeting dissidents in the U.K ā nowĀ itāsĀ been proven that they were using the HKETO to do it.Ā
"The Government now has no choice but to put China in the enhanced tier of its Foreign Influence Registration Scheme.
āThe HKETO is an outpost of Chinese Communist Party repressionĀ used to coordinate surveillance and intimidation operations. The office has no consularĀ functionĀ andĀ its diplomatic privileges should be revoked with immediate effect.ā
