I see that many people are still struggling to understand what "common law" really is and why invoking it can quietly pull you right back under the very system you’re trying to step out of. After reading this post, you’ll know the real difference between Common Law and Natural Common Law and you’ll be able to decide whether you’re standing in the living or still trapped in the fiction. What Common Law Used to Be. Common law began as Natural Common Law the law of the living, rooted in custom, morality, and Divine order. It was law for the people, by the people, reflecting life, fairness, and stewardship. In its original form: Common Law was living, not written to bind the living to a fiction. Under Natural Common Law, two living men or women could resolve matters privately, in peace, guided by truth and fairness. No statutes, or fictions, only conscience and honor. Common Law authority came from the Creator and the community, not a commercial system. Our law is our living testimony. We do not invoke statutes, because we are the embodiment of law when we speak from the heart. Natural Common Law operates entirely in the private sphere, unseen by the system. What passes as "common law" today is entirely public, statutory, and tied to corporate and government control. The Shift: From Lawful to Legal. Over time, governments, courts, and monarchs began codifying these living principles into written statutes. The moment men put pen to paper and began using imagination in place of inspiration, the law shifted from lawful (of life) to legal (of fiction).
