The US-Iran agreement paves the way for comprehensive negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program and its policy of regional destabilization.
The resumption of maritime traffic, without restriction or toll, is an indispensable condition for regional stability and the global economy.
I welcome the agreement between the U.S. and Iran and congratulate President Trump and the Iranian side on this diplomatic breakthrough. This can pave the way towards a reinvigorated global economy and a more secure Middle East. It is crucial to implement it with determination.

Today, we have imposed a €200 million fine on Temu under the Digital Services Act, for failing to identify, analyse, and assess the systemic risks of illegal products being offered on its platform.

Russia hit a dead-end on the battlefield, so it terrorizes Ukraine with deliberate strikes on city centres.
These are abhorrent acts of terror meant to kill as many civilians as possible.
Moscow reportedly using Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missiles – systems designed to carry nuclear warheads – is a political scare-tactic and reckless nuclear-brinkmanship.
Next week, EU Foreign Ministers will discuss how to dial up the international pressure on Russia.
