h****y p*****r: there are four kinds of kids and one of ‘em’s evil animorphs: sometimes you have to make hard choices that will leave you broken and scarred, maybe permanently, and you may never get to know if they were right his dark materials: attack and dethrone god

Can a reputation for vindictiveness be helpful for the long term shareholder value of the company? I try to cultivate such a reputation in board games because I find it can be very valuable in e.g. Coup. I'm not naturally that vindictive so I have to work to play it up

BTW, I approached ABC about buying back the former FiveThirtyEight IP*, and they said they wouldn't sell at any price because I'd criticized their management of the brand. Costing Disney shareholders $$ b/c of their vindictiveness. * I own the models but the trademarks, etc.

A lot of unions are shitty but that's not a reason to not have unions A lot of police departments are shitty but that's not a reason to abolish Unfortunately 98% of police unions are shitty and this is where we separate the deontologists from the consequentialists

If you asked Claude to build you a house it would build you the most beautiful house, and then you’d go inside and you’d be like, “Claude there’s no bathrooms.” And Claude would say, “There were no bathrooms before either, so it’s actually a pre-existing issue”

On the one hand, Opus 4.7 couldn't identify me 😎 On the other hand, I am too obscure to have left an identifiable internet footprint 😭
I have a bunch of secret AI benchmarks I only reveal when they fall, and today one did. I give the AI 1000 words written by me and never published, and ask them who the author is. They generally give flattering wrong answers (see ChatGPT, below:)

A kid on the bus once threw something at the back of my head, it was like a metal bracelet or something. So I got up and immediately tried strangling the other kid and tried shoving the bracelet into his mouth. In the end, weirdly enough, since the kid started it and wasn't even supposed to be on that particular bus, I basically had to attend a few outside classes about anger issues with my guidance teacher. Idk what happened with the kid but he didn't bother me after that. I remained on the bus. I talked to the driver a lot, nice guy. Basically he was like "why did you have to do that? You could have gotten into so much trouble over something so stupid." And I replied "well if he got away with it once, he would have kept doing it"

My best tip for anyone trying to get back into reading is to remember that you can read books to avoid other responsibilities in your life, and it can become a vice if you play your cards right.

The government should not have the power to require private citizens to do specific work that goes against their conscience, even if the work would be legal to do.

I need Aella to watch Pluribus, then reopen one of her surveys so she can add a couple new annotations on her rape thermometer

lol Discussion in replies dives into how the nausea is so mild it's subconscious and if you disagree you "aren't in tune with your body" -- unfalsifiable I've been on sema and now on tirz. On both I've experienced strong appetite suppression even when nausea is zero

Ozempic (and similar) work by making you very mildly nauseous at all times which reduces your appetite. I always giggle when people complain about this "side effect". It's not a "side effect", it is THE effect. It's the whole point. All the other science surrounding GLP-1s is secondary in terms of what is actually producing real results in people. Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

Anyone who thinks all of the effects are related to nausea is not in tune with their body -- now my claim is also unfalsifiable and leans on ad hominem as a preemptive defense so there
