Following our complaint last March, the ASA have ruled ads for Lynne McTaggart's "Power of Eight®" intention classes made unsubstantiated health claims and discouraged medical treatment

See, for example, this testimonial about making breast lumps disappear and reversing chronic fatigue, which Lynne sent out a week ago - so, after she had been informed that this ruling was imminent.

A week earlier, on January 14th, her regular marketing emails told subscribers about Hilde, who was diagnosed with cancer... but was able to stop taking her chemotherapy due to the "healing success" of Lynne's Power of Eight® classes.

Dragons’ Den ‘failing to scrutinise extravagant product claims’
thetimes.co.uk/article/drago…
We wrote to the BBC with concerns over a number of businesses showcased on the program, who make misleading and potentially dangerous health claims.
Here's what our Project Director told The Times about the Dragons Den controversy, and why the recent ear seed business is just the tip of the iceberg.
It's time they took their responsibility seriously, and stopped featuring - and seeking out - businesses who mislead the public
ALT 'Each of these businesses have been allowed to make extravagant claims about the efficacy of their products without facing any real critique or questioning from the show or its producers,' Michael Marshall - project director at the Good Thinking Society - said, as quoted by The Times.
'Not enough is being done by the producers of Dragon's Den to uphold that trust, and to ensure it is not lent to businesses that promote misleading and potentially dangerous products, via health claims that target specific and vulnerable patient groups.
'People with serious conditions may risk their time, money and even turn down proven treatments in favour of these products.'
