The collapse in the happiness of Britain and Canada has been particularly rapid, and both countries have moved almost in lockstep. That isn't accidental. Canada is culturally joined at the hip to the UK. We're formally politically independent, but the Canadian political elite takes a lot of its cues from Britain.
