Financial and insurance services as well as postal and telecommunication services are the sectors with the biggest share of contracts won by politically connected suppliers, with around one-fifth of all contracts associated with politically connected suppliers. @MarcSchiffbauer
Taking the best random forest model, we predict the risk of collusive behaviour in the full database
consisting of more than 3.3 million observed public procurement contracts in the 7 countries during
2007-2020. Overall, the model predicts a 37% average cartel risk score.💡
