It was my pleasure to be joined today in Washington D.C. by Utah Governor @SpencerJCox, Wyoming’s U.S. Senate Majority Whip @SenJohnBarrasso and @SenLummis, and Utah’s U.S. Senator and Chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee @BasedMikeLee, and U.S. Senator @SenJohnCurtis for a meeting on Colorado River negotiations. We discussed the future of the Colorado River Basin and the long-term management of critical water resources, including Flaming Gorge Reservoir and Lake Powell. I came to Washington DC to have serious conversations about the future of the Colorado River Basin, and those conversations were productive. Wyoming is committed to bringing forward ideas, and leading the search for practical solutions that recognize both the realities of drought and the needs of the West.

On this D-Day anniversary, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy in defense of freedom. Their valor changed the course of history and secured liberty for future generations. May we never forget the Americans who answered the call and the debt we owe them. #DDay #NeverForget #HonorTheFallen

Former Congressman Steve Pearce is uniquely qualified to lead the Bureau of Land Management. He knows the importance of the agency’s multiple-use mandate and values local and state input on land management decisions. It is gratifying to see his confirmation to this vital role. I look forward to working with him on issues critical to Wyoming such as oil, gas, and coal leasing, sage-grouse, recreation, resource management plans, wild horse management, and grazing.

It was my pleasure to meet with President Ching-te Lai during my second visit to Taiwan. We had a productive conversation about Wyoming’s role in supporting Taiwan’s long-term energy security. Wyoming brings energy abundance, cutting-edge research, and a commitment to the next generation of energy technologies, and we’re building partnerships that turn those strengths into real opportunities for both of us.

Apprenticeships are one of the most practical ways we can strengthen our workforce. They connect education with real opportunity, help employers grow their own talent and keep our communities strong and our kids right here in Wyoming. I was proud to sign a proclamation recognizing this week as National Apprenticeship Week in Wyoming. I also had a chance to visit with young apprentices who are doing the work in the Cowboy State - learning skills, earning a paycheck and building their future right here at home. That’s worth celebrating. Ride for the brand apprentices! #NAW2026

I am so relieved the @POTUS was not harmed tonight. I ask Wyomingites to pray for peace and calm in our state and nation. We are all reminded in moments like this that violence has no place in our politics or our country. I am thankful for the swift action of law enforcement and the Secret Service to protect the President and those in attendance. Our prayers are with all involved.

It was my honor to join Director Andrea Kock of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission in signing an agreement that gives Wyoming more regulatory primacy through our excellent @wyomingdeq. For Wyoming, the opportunity to invest in high-quality jobs right here in Wyoming is something my administration has been all about. We are doing it the Wyoming way, developing our resources while protecting our environment and respecting our communities. Every new industry in Wyoming means another potential career for our young people - careers that will stop the brain drain in the Cowboy State and keep our young people here! I’m proud of our partnership with the NRC. Ride for the brand!

April is Month of the Military Child and I was honored to recognize it. Military children serve our country too, as part of a military family … and not just in April, but all year long. These amazing children face challenges and enjoy triumphs along the way, and while no military child’s journey is the same, they each have a through-line that connects them by experience, globally. Wyoming thanks you too! Today is also Purple Up Day for our military children. Brave Hearts, Bright Futures! #PurpleUp Day 📷credit: Joseph Coslett

April 13 is Linemen’s Appreciation Day. Safe and reliable power is essential to Wyoming's families, communities and our economy. I once had the opportunity to see firsthand the training and work these men and women do and it is admirable. Linemen leave their families, often under dangerous conditions during severe weather, to promptly return service and keep the lights on for all of us. It is only appropriate we celebrate these hard working linemen. Thank you for your work! Ride for the brand!

Jennie and I enjoyed attending the Wyoming FFA Association Convention this week in Cheyenne. There was so much energy in the room, and we loved it! It was an honor to shake hands with so many of you. I truly believe that every one of you can make a difference if you step up and get the job done well. As your theme “Elevate” for this year’s convention says - Elevate yourself, your community, your chapter and your career. Ride for the brand!

Today, April 8th, is the date marked by the United States Census Bureau that American women must work into this year—starting from January of last year—to achieve the same earnings men received by only working through December of last year. On average women are still making 73 cents for every dollar that men make in Wyoming. Leaving half of our workforce behind is harmful to our communities and our economy. I was honored to sign the Equal Pay Month proclamation yesterday in support of equal pay for everyone.
