Holy Cross School, Dimapur (Nagaland, India) commemorated the
#WorldFoodDay 2024 āRight to foods for a better lifeā, with a variety of activities 16th October. This event was supported by
@NativeFoodscape and @HUCSecretariat to celebrate the rich and diverse culinary heritage of the Hill and Mountain People on
#WorldFoodDay 2024.
Students took study projects on traditional food of 12 indigenous tribes of Nagaland and shared their experiences through discussions, posters and samples of food. Sharing different dishes ignited meaningful discussions about cultural preservation. This event not only celebrated food but also culture and community, enhancing studentsā appreciation for indigenous food diversity.
The Schoolās Principal, Rev. Fr. Philip Y graced the occasion and activities were carried out under the guidance of Miss Temsumenla, School Counselor.
The best 5 presentations were awarded to Phom, Yimkhiung, Lotha, Sangtam and Ao tribes.
