In 2008, archaeologists uncovered one of the world’s oldest known musical instruments, a nearly complete bone flute, at Hohle Fels Cave in Germany.
Crafted over 35,000 years ago from a griffon vulture bone, the flute measures 21.8cm and features five finger holes, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship for the time. Found alongside other tools, animal bones, and a female figurine, it hints at the importance of music in early human culture.
