This Machado interview is wild (start around the 7 minute mark). He’s in the “analytics” is ruining baseball camp and it sounds like he refuses to adapt.
-“It’s definitely getting harder to play, it’s definitely getting more strategic…I just wish we could get analytics out of the game.”
-All these new stats and metrics are pointless (he doesn’t know what any of them mean)
-He just wants to “see ball, hit ball”
Machado is currently hitting .174 with a .619 OPS on the season…
"You guys want to hit the panic button...have been negative about everything we're doing... There's nobody more frustrated than everyone in here."

The Reds have called up Noelvi Marte and optioned TJ Friedl to Triple-A.
With Spencer Steer able to play second base, the Reds have the ability to shuffle pieces around to get Marte into the lineup, and Marte has also been playing plenty of center field.
It's been a tough year for Friedl, and he hasn't been playing much recently.
