Why it’s a good idea: you can reduce speed when on tarmac with much lower risk of crashing than on cobbles. Crashes often occur from 20th backwards as the first riders slow down from entering the cobbles while further back you still enter at 60 . Hitting the brakes is a lottery.

⚠ For safety reasons and following a request from @cpacycling, the #ParisRoubaix organisation is modifying the approach to the Trouée d'Arenberg.
The route will take a chicane just before the entrance to the sector in order to slow the speed at which the riders enter the sector and limit the risk of crashes on the cobbles.
⚠ Pour des raisons de sécurité et suite à une demande du @cpacycling, l'organisation de #ParisRoubaix procède à une modification de l'approche de la Trouée d'Arenberg.
Le parcours empruntera une chicane juste avant l'entrée du secteur pour ralentir la vitesse d'entrée dans celui-ci et limiter les risques de chutes sur les pavés.

Norges Bank tar altfor hardt i!
Dagens doble renteheving bidrar til en drittsommer for folk flest, og truer privatøkonomien til hundretusener av norske familier som allerede sliter med økte priser på mat, strøm, bolig og drivstoff. Dette kan bli dramatisk utover høsten.

Trying to ease back into competition with a 2 minute evening effort. Since the Tour I’ve been out with a herniated disc, which has been OK for a few weeks in a controlled training environment. Time to see if how it handles racing.
