This was the book I mentioned in January that wasn’t on my list because it wasn’t released yet. But Rhodri Lloyd and Jon Oliver are some of my favorite sport scientists in LTAD/Pediatric athletic development. Preordered it immediately and can’t wait to start this one.

Solve the problem. Love that. Movement problems to be solved utilising movement competence, knowledge& understanding of the physical domain, versatile movers.
Traditional PE asks: 🗣“Can you perform the skill?” Games-based learning asks: 🗣“Can you solve the problem?” Our curriculum shifts: Technique → Thinking Instruction → Exploration Teacher control → Student agency 🔗 thecoachinglab.org/products/…

Too often, PE is experienced by students as humiliation or indifference. A curriculum dominated by performance& disengagement ‘From PE Dresd to Delight’ confronts that reality head-on & reimagines what meaningful & inclusive learning could look like in PE lnkd.in/gvN8v8ZJ

We’re moving towards a more holistic, inclusive model of Physical Education.  💛One of the clearest challenges highlighted in @Sport_England’s work is the intersection of girls and low socio-economic disadvantage, where young people are more likely to disengage from movement. That challenge can’t be solved by activity choice alone. In this blog, I explore how Trauma-Informed PE and Physical Literacy converge, and how Feel • Connect • Move • Think is helping schools support children who are struggling to engage, regulate or belong, particularly within this cohort. 👉 Read the full blog here: futureaction.co.uk/post/adap… 💛🧠💪 #PhysicalLiteracy #TraumaInformedPE #InclusionInPE #PatchworkProgramme #CurriculumReview
