You sabotaged the Senate's bipartisan immigration deal( the most significant reform in decades) just to appease Trump's delusional base. You are solely responsible for our disastrous immigration crisis. That bill, supported by President Biden and negotiated by Republican Senator Lankford, would have slashed asylum processing from 5 years to mere weeks, immediately deporting those without valid claims. Your obstruction ensured migrants continue risking everything, paying coyotes $8000, exasperating our immigration system. Your reprehensible actions perpetuate this vicious cycle of human suffering. The bill included: Increased Border Patrol Staffing: Over 1,500 new Customs and Border Protection personnel. Asylum Reform: 4,300 new Asylum Officers to expedite determinations and deport the unqualified. Increased Detention Capacity: Expanding ICE detention beds from 40,000 to 50,000. Additional Immigration Judges: Funding for 100 new judges to reduce case backlogs. Enhanced Screening and Vetting: Improved screening for individuals entering the country. Republicans said no to appease Trump. How many more lives will be lost because of their stubbornness? The HR2 Republican bill repeats the same mistakes with cruel policies. Trump's inhumane policies caused this crisis, separating migrant children from their parents and increasing "gotaways." We do not need a repetition of lies and fearmongering. We need solutions. Stop spreading falsehoods. Your fearmongering only serves to divide and mislead. The American people deserve better than partisan games and baseless accusations. November can't come soon enough.
