This is the worst take I've ever heard from the OECD.
VAT is a tax that makes the poor even more poor and will worsen income inequality.
Cutting corporate tax is a suitable idea, although it has already been anticipated to be cut to 27%.

#Dollar fall tells us the markets believe the #FederalReserve is almost done raising rates after today's 75bp hike. My guess is Sept maybeeeee 25bps and its done. Hello nasty recession in 2023. But felt will be handcuffed to lower rates due to stubbornly high inflation (4%).

I've said this once and I'll say it again. If it wasn't for SARS (how effective they are at collecting taxes), South Africa would've been in an even bigger mess.
They, and all taxpayers (not only those that pay income tax) is what is keeping the country barely afloat.
