Let’s stop pretending this is complicated. The narrative being pushed is a lie, and everyone paying attention knows it.
The continuing resolution keeps getting voted down for one reason only: it would spike Americans’ healthcare premiums by three to four times. That’s not a minor policy disagreement — that’s economic arson. The only people who can afford that kind of hit are the very people pushing the bill, because they’re insulated by wealth, status, and gold-plated government insurance.
So the outrage routine — the fake shock that Democrats “won’t budge” — is nothing more than theater. Of course they won’t budge. No responsible representative would agree to detonating the nation’s healthcare system just to hand one party a political win.
And here’s the part conveniently left out:
Congress could extend the current subsidies right now and give itself a year to design a real, functional plan — the same plan the public was promised months ago, which evaporated the moment anyone asked for details.
The truth is simple:
There was no plan.
There is no plan.
And instead of admitting it, some are doubling down on misinformation and hoping the public is too exhausted to notice.
Stop misleading people.
Stop using working families as leverage.
And stop acting shocked when the only adults in the room refuse to ratify a disaster.
