The journey to the National Finals continues.
The 8th Edition of Sports for Change (SFC) Zone 3 - North East Qualifiers concluded successfully in Guwahati, bringing together over 150 young athletes from Assam, Nagaland, Sikkim, and West Bengal for two days of spirited competition, teamwork, and sporting excellence.
From closely contested football matches to high-energy Kho-Kho encounters, the qualifiers showcased not only athletic talent but also the confidence, discipline, resilience, and leadership that sport helps nurture in young people.
Zone 3 Champions:
Football (Boys): West Bengal
Kho-Kho (Girls): West Bengal
Kho-Kho (Boys): Assam
The event concluded in the presence of Shri Ankur Bharali, ACS, Director, Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, and Shri Bokul Kalita, Estate Officer, Sports Authority of Assam.
As these young athletes earn their place at the Sports for Change National Finals 2026, the momentum continues with Zone 2 and Zone 1 qualifiers still ahead.

From the football field to serving the nation!
Alok Prajapati’s selection in the Indian Army under the Agniveer Sports Quota marks an inspiring milestone shaped by years of dedication, discipline, and consistent performance in football.
Supported under Sports for Change by HCLFoundation since 2020, Alok steadily progressed through district, state, and national-level competitions, securing a gold medal at the state level and representing at the university level. Alongside his sporting journey, he also received scholarship support through HCLFoundation’s My Scholar programme. Despite personal and financial challenges, Alok remained focused on his training and studies, continuing to work towards his goals with determination. Access to structured coaching, sports kits, and tournament participation support further enabled him to pursue the sport with confidence and commitment.
His achievement reflects the transformative potential of sports in creating opportunities, building resilience, and empowering young individuals to realise their aspirations.

Shashank Khare and Yogesh Kumar represented HCLFoundation at the UP CSR Education Roundtable 2026, organised by the Department of Basic & Secondary Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The session brought together key stakeholders to discuss collaborative pathways for strengthening education systems across the state.
The discussion highlighted HCLFoundation’s multi-dimensional interventions across districts including Lucknow, Hardoi, and Noida, with a focus on foundational learning, STEM education, digital literacy, and capacity building for teachers, caregivers, and community members.
The roundtable enabled meaningful dialogue on creating inclusive, equitable, and future-ready education ecosystems through collective action and strategic partnerships. Advancing conversations on inclusion and equitable opportunities.
HCLFoundation co-celebrated the Inclusive India Summit 2026 with the National Association for the Blind (NAB), New Delhi, on the occasion of the Global Awareness Day of Inclusivity at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The summit brought together stakeholders from the corporate, government, and development sectors to strengthen dialogue around inclusion and equitable growth for persons with disabilities.
We were honoured by the presence of Ms. Aditi Nawani, Global Practice Director, HCLTech, who delivered a keynote address reaffirming HCLTech’s commitment towards fostering inclusion and creating equitable opportunities for persons with disabilities.
Mr. Gaurav Majumdar, Thematic Lead -Skill Development & Livelihoods (SDL), HCLFoundation, also participated in the panel discussion on “Corporate Action on Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities”, sharing insights on inclusive skilling, accessible livelihood opportunities, and the importance of collaborative partnerships in enabling empowerment pathways.

During her recent visit to Vijayawada, Dr. Nidhi Pundhir engaged with communities, institutions, partners, volunteers and young learners.
The visit marked the inauguration and handover of a purified drinking water unit in Gannavaram, expanding access to safe drinking water for nearly 1,000 community members, alongside the development of sports infrastructure and distribution of sports equipment benefiting approximately 2,000 students across government schools.
She also reviewed plans for a new Yuvakendra facility, interacted with academic scholars and their families, engaged with volunteer leaders and participated in Vijayawada partner convergence discussions focused on strengthening implementation and impact delivery.
An interaction with Acharya Nagarjuna University leadership further explored opportunities for deeper academic engagement and collaboration. The visit also recognised women artisans through the distribution of Udyam registrations — reinforcing the importance of strengthening livelihoods and enabling local enterprise.

Inspiring leadership meets grassroots impact!
Over two impactful days in Hyderabad, Dr. Nidhi Pundhir engaged with communities, partners, volunteers, educators and women entrepreneurs.
From inaugurating a Yuvakendra dedicated to empowering hearing-impaired youth through skilling and employment opportunities with partner Swekaar, to engaging with partner organisations on strengthening grassroots impact, the visit highlighted the power of collaboration in driving meaningful change.
She also interacted with volunteers and HCLTech leaders to further strengthen employee engagement in social impact initiatives, felicitated student achievers and supported access to sports infrastructure for government schools. #BrewAndBonds
A key highlight was the visit to Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, where Dr. Nidhi met Mr. Saumya Kumar, CEO - DLabs, and participants of DiscoverShe - a joint initiative of HCLFoundation and ISB DLabs empowering women micro-entrepreneurs through capacity building, mentorship, and digital enablement.
The conversations focused on building stronger pathways for inclusive entrepreneurship and enabling women-led enterprises to scale sustainably.
