every adult who wants to use social media must verify their identity with a passport, credit card, facial recognition, or government digital ID.

A registry of every adult in the country who uses the internet, tied to their real identity, held by platforms that have already sold data to Cambridge Analytica, already been fined billions for privacy violations, already shared data with governments on request.
Scans your device.
Knows your face.
Knows your real name behind every account.
Can disable your phone.
Has a backdoor into your messages.
This is not about children.

the error rate didn't change.
recent advances can mitigate hallucination.
but they cant fix it 100%.
75-87% is best they can do in perfect conditions and depending on skin colour.

Everything we warned of about digital ID is about to become a reality.
Labour’s plan is for a permissions based society under state control. It will allow you to live your life around a set of permissions, based on your behaviour.
From net zero restrictions to your social media posts. Behave as they want you to behave or the computer will say no.
One log in will open all doors. And to sweeten the pill? It will be easier to claim benefits. That’s how they will get it through.
For all of you saying how convenient it will be, ask yourself how much you trust any government.
