Footage emerging from the precision strike that iced Oumar KΓ©rΓ©na AKA Farouk. This is a heavy blow to JNIM militia, Good job carried out by Malian πŸ‡²πŸ‡± forces. The only good terrorist is a dead one.
The Malian πŸ‡²πŸ‡± Armed Forces (FAMa) have announced the elimination of a senior JNIM-linked commander during a precision drone strike conducted on 3 June 2026 in Mougnan, approximately 45 km west of DjennΓ©, Mopti Region. The target, identified as Oumar KΓ©rΓ©na (aliases: Farouk and Housseini Mawdo), was reportedly tracked and positively identified before being engaged in what FAMa described as a targeted precision strike. According to military sources, KΓ©rΓ©na was a veteran jihadist operative who rose through the ranks from the former MUJAO network to become a key JNIM coordinator, overseeing militant activities across parts of southern and central Mali, including the Sikasso and Koutiala regions, with operational reach extending into Burkina Faso. His role in coordinating and structuring insurgent networks reportedly made him a high-value target for Malian security forces.

They were carrying out intelligence gathering. It isn’t just a regular Gulf-stream, it is equipped with the following: 1) Electro-Optical (EO) Cameras – High-resolution daylight cameras for visual surveillance. 2) Infrared (IR)/FLIR Sensors – Detect heat signatures at night or through light obscurants. 3) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) – Produces detailed ground imagery regardless of weather or darkness. 4) Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) – Tracks moving vehicles and personnel. 5) Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Systems – Intercept and analyze radio, cellular, radar, and electronic emissions. 6) Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) Suites – Detect and identify radar systems and air-defense networks. 7) Communications Intelligence (COMINT) – Monitors voice and data communications.
Interesting. I wonder why the US Air Force was there and flying a Gulfstream?

πŸ‡³πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί Russia is expanding its military cooperation with Niger. During Russia Day celebrations in Niamey, Russian Ambassador Viktor Voropaev highlighted ongoing training programs for Nigerien security forces and reaffirmed Moscow’s commitment to supporting Niger’s security objectives. The ambassador also referenced the role of Russian personnel in helping repel the January attack on Niamey Airport, while praising the growing security partnership between Moscow and the military-led governments of Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso. πŸ‘€ Russia’s security footprint across the Sahel continues to deepen. #OSINT #Niger #Russia #Sahel #AES

This Cessna with possible ties to the Nigerian Air Force, carried out reconnaissance (ISR) over Ikere Gorge Dam which is associated with and located within the β€œOld Oyo National Park” If you’re current you should know this area has become an area of particular interest and safe heaven for insurgent groups in South West Nigeria.πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ (Especially with the recent kidnapping of teachers and pupils below the age of 10 years of age)

Day 4 of United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Air Force ISR operations over Oyo State, with surveillance activity concentrated on areas bordering Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬. πŸ‘€ Day 4. Same area. Same mission set of persistent ISR coverage over the Oyo–Kwara axis point to a sustained intelligence requirement. Whatever is being monitored, it has clearly remained a priority.
Day 3 of U.S. Air Force ISR operations over Southwestern Nigeria. This time, the operation has extended beyond Oyo State into Ilorin, Kwara State, in Nigeria’s North Central region. Security dynamics in Kwara have deteriorated significantly, with a sharp rise in terrorist, jihadist, and bandit-related violence spilling over from the Northwest and Northeast. Groups such as Lakurawa (IS-linked), Boko Haram factions, Mahmuda, and possible JNIM (Al-Qaeda-linked) elements are now active in the area. It is therefore no surprise that the region has become a major hotspot for American surveillance.

Today’s recon took an interesting turn when this United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Air-Force Gulf-stream departed from its usual area of operation in south west and north central Nigeria, tracked toward northern Benin πŸ‡§πŸ‡―, and then disappeared from radar coverage. The detour is noteworthy given the growing security challenges in northern Benin, where jihadist groups linked to the Sahel insurgency have increasingly carried out cross-border attacks and expanded their operational footprint. Whether the flight was related to ongoing security monitoring remains unknown.

The Islamic State – Sahel Province appears to be making substantial gains across northwestern Nigeria, with its influence reportedly pushing toward the southwest at a concerning rate. Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ is effectively fighting a war on multiple fronts as security threats continue to evolve and expand across different regions of the country.

The Nigerian Army has released a statement regarding the unauthorized entry of Cameroonian troops into Cross River State. According to reports, the incident was triggered by a dispute over the collection of levies on farmland located along the border between the Danare community in Nigeria and the Dadi community in Cameroon. In response, troops from the Nigerian Army’s Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Danare engaged with Cameroonian authorities through established military channels, resulting in the withdrawal of the Cameroonian troops from Nigerian territory and the de-escalation of the situation.
CAMEROONIAN BORDER INCURSION INTO NIGERIA πŸ‡¨πŸ‡² X πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ Reports indicate that more than 100 Cameroonian personnel crossed into Nigerian territory in Danare Community, Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State, a clear border violation. This isn’t the first time In recent years, Cameroon has repeatedly defied Nigeria’s territorial sovereignty, brazenly carrying out various acts of intimidation and harassment against Nigerians with little regard for the consequences. This is largely because previous incursions have met with little or no meaningful response from Nigeria.

Based on my personal assessment, this operation is being carried out by an unmanned aerial vehicle due to the number of hours the surveillance has lasted. Another reason I believe it is not a manned platform is that the Nigerian Air Force does not have aerial refueling capability.

Benin πŸ‡§πŸ‡― isn’t backing down in the fight against Islamic backed radicalism as this Cessna with callsign #TY27A conducts aerial surveillance aka ISR over Abomey & Bohicon in south central Benin. πŸ‡§πŸ‡― Although these areas have been unaffected by the violent extremism that has impacted the country since around 2019–2021, I believe the government of Benin is being proactive in countering terrorism from spilling in from the Northern part of the country where JNIM has a strong presence.

This United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Air Force Gulfstream C-37A, with callsign ABCD, is conducting ISR operations over Oyo State, Nigeria. There is a high probability that this operation is linked to recent Boko Haram activities in Nigeria’s southwest region, particularly the kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers.

An unidentified aircraft with callsign #AYB007 conducted ISR operations over Owode Local Government Area of Ogun state and loitered with a significant concentration above the forest area along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway. This should come as no surprise to anyone, given the recent surge in terrorist activity in and around the Southwest region.
