I warned you last year ⤵️that this woman is bad news.
Sr. Ilia Delio is the Catholic-nun-theologian-professor at Pope Leo’s Alma Mater, Villanova University
@VillanovaU . She’s the subject of this video I made a year ago, “Apostasy at Pope Leo’s Alma Mater,” and she’s the Church’s biggest contemporary promoter of the apostate theology of Fr. Teilhard de Chardin—who, in turn, provided the basic theological premises undergirding contemporary scholarly Christian support for the ET/AI Deceptions.
Now she’s back at it, again pushing Fr. Teilhard de Chardin’s apostasy, in opposition to Pope Leo’s Encyclical, on National "Catholic" Reporter.
Delio laments that the Pope’s Encyclical
“presupposes that what the human is has already been determined — that the image of God is a status to be defended rather than a process to be undergone.”
She presents Teilhard as the hero here to rescue us from Pope Leo’s teachings:
“Evolution is not background scenery for the human story; it is the story. The human person is not a fixed essence deposited into a changing world but the growing tip of an evolutionary process that has always moved through convergence toward greater complexity and consciousness. …Where Leo reads the next evolutionary threshold as Babel, Teilhard reads it as Christogenesis — the continuing birth of Christ in and through the rise of consciousness.”
Hint: Pope Leo is right, not Fr. Teilhard, and not Sr. Delio.
Delio next says,
“Throughout Magnifica Humanitas, the divine is given, revealed, conferred — always acting upon the human from beyond. This Thomistic inheritance… carries costs … [it] produces a psychic splitting — it exiles the divine from the interior and leaves the inside religiously inert. “
What Delio dismisses as mere “Thomism” is in fact central to Divine Revelation itself. Indeed, the Divine is Given, Revealed, and Conferred. But Delio, elsewhere, claims that “God is not finished becoming God,” and that “God needs our help” to do that. Again, this is flagrant apostasy.
Next, Delio laments that
“Leo's question presupposes a fixed human essence that technology might serve or threaten.”
Of course, that’s exactly what we have: a fixed human essence. When God made man in His Own Image, that was, is, and ever shall be, the pinnacle of creation. The ET/UFO/AI Deception rejects that bedrock cosmological fact.
Delio again brings Teilhard to the rescue, writing
“Teilhard's question presupposes an evolving humanity for whom technology is not an instrument wielded from outside but a medium within which the next phase of evolution is being worked out. …the encyclical's governing metaphysics — a wholly transcendent God conferring a fixed essence on a human creature now called to remain — is not adequate to a world in evolution. …”
Here again, Leo is right, and Delio/Teilhard are only advocating for one major aspect of the Great Deception; the supposition that human nature itself awaits some “new phase of evolution” which will be worked out through technological paradigm shifts.
She concludes:
“The question Magnifica Humanitas poses is the right one: what does it mean to be human in the age of artificial intelligence? The answer it gives — remain — is too small for the tradition it invokes and too small for the moment it addresses. Teilhard de Chardin shows what a bolder answer looks like”
Teilhard/Delio’s apostate “Bolder answer” will indeed soon be given to the world, and it will come from a much more seductive and alluring figure than this silly and confused modernist nun. That “answer” will be precisely what the Catechism says: “an apparent solution to men’s problems at the price of apostasy from the truth.” The Great Deception. Reject it. Close your mind to it. Yes, closed mindedness can be a virtue. Here, it is precisely that.
While the orthodox are persecuted—Dr. Ralph Martin, Dr. Ed Peters—flagrant apostasy is given free rein in our Catholic Universities. You won’t believe the Sci-Fi Apostasy this PROLIFIC Catholic theologian-nun-professor has been teaching & preaching for decades.
