Two months ago, I was selected as the winner of the Approximate Computing Research Excellence Award for the contributions made to the field in the review article "Approximation Opportunities in Edge Computing Hardware: A Systematic Literature Review"📄
My thanks go to the independent reviewers charged with selecting a winner for this award, and to everyone involved in the #HorizonEU@APROPOS_Project for three fantastic, productive years!
#emixa represented a chance for me to try using run-time #reflection in combination with hardware tests in @scala_lang to reduce the developer efforts required to use the library vastly. The #Python front-end handles passing arguments, #Scala transforms them to the proper types💡
Six months have passed since the #Euromicro#DSD conference and the proceedings have finally been published, my paper included 📄
Consider giving it a read at: ieeexplore.ieee.org/document…
Back in Finland after a busy week of travelling. It was a pleasure to catch up with colleagues from my internship at @AMD and learn from the workshops and tutorials at the #FPL2023 conference. Rarely have I experienced an event as well organized!
Disclaimer: the source code for CGRAgen yet has to be made available in open source as I have been preoccupied with other pressing tasks. It is still projected to be published on the #HorizonEU@APROPOS_Project GitHub page once ready 💻
Six of my co-ESRs in the #HorizonEU@APROPOS_Project and I have just wrapped up our collaboration on transforming a project-internal report into a substantial article on adaptive #approximate#computing.
Today marks one year since the official publication of our systematic literature. The article has since been a source of inspiration for my work and received a great deal of interest from other researchers, standing at more than 4000 downloads via ACM's Digital Library alone 🤩
This week, I also took part in the last official event as part of the #HorizonEU#APROPOS_Project hosted by @PoliTOnews. Unlike the prior events that were predominantly filled with lectures by external speakers, this event was full of presentations by the ESRs, myself included.
It was great to see that everyone has been productive and produced valuable scientific contributions 🕵🏻♂️ Thanks again to my supervisors, Jari Nurmi and Aleksandr Ometov, for organizing @APROPOS_Project and all its related events.
