Today is the day my life changed forever. For the better. I just closed my apartment door, flipped the deadbolt, leaned against the wall, and took a moment to shed tears of joy. Alone & insanely at peace. A switch has been flipped & it’s beautiful ❤️

Of all the things I can live without, I discovered a bathtub is not one of them. This is my first soak in a real bath in almost 2 years. I’m so happy & relaxed right now. Never again will I go without one of these amazingly therapeutic creations.
The reason CPTSD goes undiagnosed: it doesn’t look like trauma. It looks like personality.
PTSD is an event. CPTSD is an environment you couldn’t escape during, most often, your formative years. It’s trauma that gets woven into the fabric you mistake for identity.
The view from the new apartment doesn’t even come close to comparing to the view from the old apartment. However, the layout of this apartment is far superior. And I guess having a built in night light isn’t so bad 🤣
I feel like I should’ve planned better for this move because now I’m tired & hungry & everything hurts & I don’t where anything is & maintenance is here because my water isn’t working 😭

Parental alienation (or alienating behaviours) typically refers to a pattern where one parent undermines or sabotages the child's relationship with the other parent.
People typically don’t “go crazy” or have nervous breakdowns for no reason. The narrative of someone "going crazy" is often a tool used by abusers to deflect accountability and discredit their victim. What appears to be erratic behavior is usually a trauma response—a culmination of long-term psychological manipulation, gaslighting, and emotional abuse.
The victim may seem "unreasonable" or "unstable" because their nervous system is overwhelmed, often swinging between fight, flight, freeze, or fawn responses. Abusers exploit this, painting the victim as the problem to maintain their control and avoid scrutiny. It's a cruel tactic that isolates the victim further and obscures the true cause of their distress. Recognizing this dynamic is crucial for understanding the reality of psychological abuse and offering genuine support. 🧵
No one talks about this, but withholding
information is a form of deception.
They knew that if you knew this piece of information, you’d treat them differently so they withheld it purposefully to manipulate
you and the situation. And it is lying by omission.
A narcissist manipulates, lies, gaslights, and rewrites history, creating confusion and chaos wherever they go. Yet somehow, when the dust settles, it’s often the victim who is questioned, criticized, and told they need to heal from the very wounds that were inflicted on them.
