Here's a cool math fact: If we can go up a set of stairs at one or two steps at a time, the number of different ways we can go up those stairs will always be a Fibonacci number! Here's why:

Look at that student engagement! I especially love the model of the tree to represent the squirrel!
Building Thinking Classrooms establish norms, encourage teamwork, and deepen thinking. Mr. Cinelli’s classes utilize vertical learning to prepare for their assessment on Integers. It’s only September and I’m already proud of these Hornets. @HTPSMathScience @HowellTwpMSN

Students showing compassion and acceptance for one another coupled with mathematics. There’s no better way to spend the day. ☘️
It was a “LUCKY” day in Mr. Cinelli’s classes. Math students showcased their knowledge on Inequality Shamrocks and collaborated with Ms. Mazzuca’s “buddies” to create tally rainbows 🌈. Fostering these partnerships is what makes kindness contagious.@HowellTwpMSN @HTPSMathScience

Not only is this amazing but the cultural connection makes it even more outstanding!
Student-led decisions allow for the creativity and exploration of new material to be both meaningful and successful. Mr. Cinellis Pre-Algebra class constructed triangles with specific conditions in a “theme” that was near and dear to their heart. @HowellTwpMSN @HTPSMathScience

I love the two class collaboration!
Mr. Cinelli’s Math students were the “teachers” today. Students led instruction and math talk with their “buddies” in Ms. Mazzuca’s class about sorting colors and graphing. This classroom was full of engagement, kindness, and smile’s today. @HowellTwpMSN @HTPSMathScience
