#Burundi Hosts Regional Training on Lake #Tanganyika Basin #Conservation #Burundi is hosting a five-day training aimed at stakeholders involved in implementing a regional project focused on #biodiversity conservation and the sustainable management of natural resources in the Lake #Tanganyika basin. The initiative, led by the project coordination unit of @UNOPS , seeks to strengthen the capacity of participants engaged in the program’s execution. The training is part of a transboundary project running for three and a half years (2024–2028), funded by @theGEF. The program is led by the @UNEP and implemented by @UNOPS in partnership with the @_LTA_ALT. The initiative brings together four countries sharing the Lake Tanganyika basin—#Burundi, #Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo #DRC, and #Zambia—highlighting its regional scope in addressing shared environmental challenges.
