"Every time I go to shul, I bow to objects I consider to be idols. Like Jeroboam’s golden calves, there are two of them, except these are both in the same locale. They are set up right next to the aron kodesh, so that there is no good way to avoid bowing towards them..."

"Deporting Jewish activists who visit the West Bank to engage in protective presence used to be unthinkable. But since October, five Jews have been deported for participating in Israeli- & Jewish-led solidarity initiatives." (gift link) haaretz.com/opinion/2026-06-…

If Zionism is inherent to Judaism, why does Shai Davidai make such a point to have "Zionist" in his bio? Why not just call himself Jewish, the way most Jews do?

"crashed the event" sure is a weird way to spell "attended as part of the Israeli consulate's official delegation" 🤔

Forget Mamdani. The real story of New York's Israel Day Parade was who showed up | Opinion haaretz.com/opinion/2026-06-…

Who paid for his plane ticket, Dan? Did he drop down out of the sky like Bayis Shlishi?
Smotrich was not invited to the Israel Day Parade in New York. He crashed it. He should have stayed away. His extremist views do harm to the US-Israel relationship.
Community note
Bezalel Smotrich participated in the parade as part of the official Israeli Knesset delegation. haaretz.com/us-news/2026-0… jewishnews.co.uk/anger-as-smotr… timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry…

Because the Israeli consulate apparently didn't share the full delegation list with the parade organizers in advance, we have to pretend that this was "crashing" and a complete surprise. x.com/Etanetan23/status/2061…

Replying to @NYCGreenfield
what do you mean "not invited" there were muplitple repots days earlier that he would be coming. He spoke at an event at Park East Synagogue with Amir Ohana straight after. He didn't crash anything.

BREAKING: Israeli settler terrorists are attacking the village of Duma right now, setting fields and olive groves on fire, throwing Molotov cocktails at homes, and firing at civilians who are trying to extinguish the flames.

Politics is a horseshoe. Zohran Mamdani and Bezalel Smotrich both believe in a one-state solution.

Come with me as I learn about each person at the official Israeli delegation at today's Israel Day Parade in New York City. These are the people some of my fellow Jewish and other New Yorkers demanded Mayor Mamdani stand with today. 🧵

While Mayor Zohran Mamdani boycotted the annual Israel Day parade, former Mayors Eric Adams and Michael Bloomberg marched with an estimated 50,000 New Yorkers in the annual celebration. ji.news/564hj
