Residency 4 is all done. I’m going into my 4th and final semester of the @HamlineMFAC program and I’m excited and also a bit sad. I’ve found such a nurturing, beautiful community there and I’m not in a hurry to leave it! But alas. Here goes!
Comic Con is Coming! I'll be at #sdcc as usual this year. Come by Small Press and see us. Come to my signing on Sunday! Ask me about my new graphic novel, PEARL, and my mega-sized version of CHAOS CAT! It's gonna be fun!

ALT A pink promotional graphic with a big white bubble that says, "Walter Grant Applications Now Open!" in big bold letters. Beneath the text are three clipart illustrations of people writing at their desks. The first person has long black hair and is wearing a coral colored cardigan as they write on loose leaf paper by hand. The second person has dark brown skin, short black hair, and is wearing a gold-striped polo shirt as they sit at their desk, writing by hand. The last person has long brown hair tied back in a pony tail and is wearing a red sweatshirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. They're sitting in front of their bookshelves and referencing several pieces of paper around them as they sit at their desk and write by hand.
With an MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults, you can teach creative writing at the university level. Every #HamlineMFAC student writes a critical thesis and presents their research to their peers and professors.
