"Freedom of speech is a principal pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved, and tyranny is erected on its ruins. Republics and limited monarchies derive their strength and vigor from a popular examination into the action of the magistrates." --from "On Freedom of Speech and the Press", Pennsylvania Gazette, 17 November 1737.

I don’t give money to people, i give food and physical help when possible, i donate what i can to charity as well as volunteer with responsible Charitable organizations to help others. I can barely afford to support myself living in this 3rd world communist shithole California.

Today, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, historically known as Corpus Christi. This feast day is dedicated entirely to the absolute core of the Catholic faith: the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. The feast honors the doctrine of transubstantiation—the belief that the bread and wine consecrated at the altar do not merely represent, but physically and spiritually become the actual Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ. Officially instituted in the 13th century following the relentless advocacy of St. Juliana of Liège and the Eucharistic miracle of Bolsena, the solemnity was created to foster immense reverence and adoration for the Blessed Sacrament. For centuries, Corpus Christi has been marked by magnificent public processions. Taking the Eucharist out of the sanctuary in a golden monstrance and carrying it through the streets is a bold, uncompromising public declaration of faith. In a modern world that frequently rejects the sacred, taking Christ directly into the public square remains one of the most powerful and enduring traditions of the Church. ✝️⛪

The Pentecost Sequence, the Golden Sequence, at Mass this morning in St. Peter’s Basilica. Veni, Sancte Spíritus, et emítte cǽlitus lucis tuæ rádium. Veni, pater páuperum; veni, dator múnerum; veni, lumen córdium. Consolátor óptime, dulcis hospes ánimæ, dulce refrigérium. In labóre réquies, in æstu tempéries, in fletu solácium. Amen. It may shock you all to know that Martin Luther added the word "alone" to Romans 3:28. - Literal translation of original Greek: "For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law." As a matter of fact, there is no Greek word for "alone". Luther’s German translation (September Testament, 1522): “So halten wir nun dafür, daß der Mensch gerecht werde ohne des Gesetzes Werke, allein durch den Glauben.” Literal Translation: “We hold that a man is justified without the works of the law, alone through faith.” Luther openly admitted the addition. In his 1530 Open Letter on Translating, he wrote: "I know very well that the word solum (alone) is not in the Greek or Latin text… The letters s-o-l-a are not there… But it belongs there if the translation is to be clear and vigorous… I wanted to speak German, not Latin or Greek." While Luther and the protestants see this addition ("alone") as a faithful dynamic translation that best captured Paul’s meaning in natural German, Catholics on the other hand see it as inserting personal interpretation into Scripture. Either way, it shows why Sola Scriptura has always involved human judgment in reading, translating, and applying the Bible.

Martin Luther: “remained a virgin before, during, and after the birth of Christ.” “remained pure and untainted” John Calvin: “We believe, as the Church has always taught, that Mary remained a virgin before, during, and after the birth of Christ.” John Wesley: "...the blessed Virgin Mary, who, as well after as before she brought Him forth, continued a pure and unspotted virgin.” The Church of England affirmed this belief in the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion (1563), which states that Mary, as the mother of Christ, “remained a virgin”
No Protestant I know believes in the perpetual virginity of Mary. It’s simply twisting clear words into something it’s not. Have a lovely night.

Let all the Mary mockers be put on notice In the 13th century, during the time when great saints and preachers walked Europe, a chilling story was recorded by the Dominican friar and renowned preacher Étienne de Bourbon. Near the famous Abbey of Cluny in France lived a wine seller. Day after day, while pouring wine for his customers, he constantly blasphemed the holy name of Jesus Christ. His mouth was so foul that people around him had almost become numb to his sacrilege. But one day, something changed. Standing in front of a large crowd of customers, the man raised his voice and swore “by the tongue of the Blessed Virgin Mary” and then, without hesitation, he began to mock and blaspheme the Mother of God herself in the most disrespectful manner. The words had barely left his lips when divine justice struck. In an instant, he lost complete control of his tongue. He could no longer speak. Struck down by an invisible force, he collapsed right there in front of everyone and died on the spot. This terrifying event was not hidden or forgotten. Étienne de Bourbon included it in his collection of exempla (moral stories used in preaching) to warn the faithful about the danger of blaspheming God and His Holy Mother. The story reminds us of the words of Sacred Scripture: “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” (Galatians 6:7) And also the wisdom of the Book of Proverbs: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21) In our modern world, where disrespect toward sacred things, including the Virgin Mary, has sadly become common in movies, comedy, and social media, this medieval account carries a sobering message. The Mother of God is full of mercy for those who honor her, but she is also the Queen of Heaven, powerful before the throne of her Son.

Today, on the liturgical feast of #OurLadyOfFatima, we turn our gaze to the Shrine, where the Virgin Mary entrusted the three shepherd children with a message of #Peace. Let us entrust to the Immaculate Heart of Mary our cry for peace and harmony, which rises from every part of the world, especially from people afflicted by war. #PrayTogether

Catholics ask saints to talk to God on our behalf. Protestants call it Idolatry, say that all prayers MUST go through Jesus alone. But these short-sighted protestants do not know, or must have forgotten than Jesus is God, and the saints are presenting our requests to Jesus who is God.

Everything I am about to say below is official Catholic teaching which every Catholic is required to believe…. 1. Mary is not God. 2. Mary is not equal to Jesus. 3. The pope is not a demigod, nor a guru, nor an oracle, nor is he infallible ALL the time. 4. Justification is not by Faith Alone. 5. Justification is not by Works Alone. 6. Justification is by Faith in Christ, accompanied by Works of love in Christ. 7. Purgatory is not a “second chance” for the dead. 8. Purgatory is temporary, and it is only for those who are already saved, so they can be purified before entering heaven. 9. No one is saved, unless it is through Jesus Christ. 10. We must trust in Jesus Christ. What I have said above is absolutely 100% true, and by making it a public statement here, I would be inviting disciplinary action from my bishop if it were not true.

Catholics do not go to Mass because it is “inspiring.” We go because Jesus Christ is there. Body. Blood. Soul. Divinity. The same Jesus born in Bethlehem. The same Jesus crucified on Calvary. The same Jesus risen from the tomb. On every altar. At every Mass. Still giving Himself for the life of the world. This is why the Eucharist is not a symbol. It is the beating Heart of the Catholic faith.
