Seven weeks before resigning the Presidency, Richard Nixon and his wife Pat fly to Syria 1974 for a visit with President Hafez al-Assad and his family, including 8-year-old Bashar:
DO YOU AGREE WITH JOHN DEAN?
Former Nixon lawyer John Dean says Biden should pardon anyone that Trump has stated to target when he returns to the White House. This includes Robert Mueller, Jack Smith, several federal judges, the Obamas and Clintons.
Your thoughts?

Here’s the reality.
No USAtty would have charged this case given the underlying facts. After a 5 year investigation the facts as discovered only made that clear.
Had his name been Joe Smith the resolution would have been - fundamentally and more fairly - a declination.
Pardon warranted.
Ask yourself a vastly more important question. Do you really think Kash Patel is qualified to lead the world’s preeminent law enforcement investigative organization? Obvious answer: hell no.
If any of you are under the impression that our billionaires might succeed in "escaping" to space, while the world burns, let me put those fears to rest with what I know from being the spouse of a NASA flight controller. 🧵

Yesterday was the 85th anniversary of Stalin's invasion of Finland, launching the Winter War. The USSR captured a chunk of Finland, but at such enormous cost, with the Red Army displaying such incredible incompetence, that it invited invasion by Hitler.
Putin made the same mistake with Ukraine. All he had to do was nothing (assuming that being a decent neighbor wasn't an option). This is what "winning" looks like.

The Soviet-Finnish Winter War that began on this day 85 years ago cost the USSR even more dearly in the long term: it demonstrated weakness and incompetence, inviting Hitler's invasion.

Just because Donald Trump acts goofy doesn’t mean his presidency wouldn’t be dangerous. And you don’t have to take my word for it. Lately, some of the people who know Trump the best have been saying in no uncertain terms that he should not be president again.
New statement from Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein: "We respect the traditional independence of the editorial page, but this decision 11 days out from the 2024 presidential election ignores the Washington Post's own overwhelming reportorial evidence on the threat Donald Trump poses to democracy. Under Jeff Bezos’s ownership, the Washington Post’s news operation has used its abundant resources to rigorously investigate the danger and damage a second Trump presidency could cause to the future of American democracy and that makes this decision even more surprising and disappointing, especially this late in the electoral process."
