#CA22 progressive Democratic candidate Randy Villegas rolling out two more Congressional endorsements hours after the DCCC endorsed his moderate opponent
ENDORSEMENT ALERT 🚨 Now more than ever, we need to fight to put our working families over corporate interests. That is why I am so honored to have the support of Congresswoman Ramirez and Congresswoman Barragán in our race! As the only Latino candidate running in a majorly Latino district, I look forward to increasing our representation in Congress. 💪🏽

SEIU members are a majority women of color. We are workers, immigrants, and mothers.  Today we saw our sister Dolores Huerta and other incredible and brave survivors tell their stories despite the significant pain it caused them and their families. We honor their courage and pledge our support to these women and all survivors of rape, assault, and exploitation.  No movement is about one person, but the strength that comes from standing together. Like the janitors who found their power in the Ya Basta movement after facing rape on the night shift, Dolores and other survivors show us that breaking the silence and embracing each other in solidarity are how we survive - and how we leave a safer world to our daughters.

Horrified to see that ICE has confirmed yet another death in one of their facilities –– the 12th one reported this year alone. Mohammed Nazeer Paktiawal, a husband, a father, and a former member of the Afghan special forces who worked alongside U.S. troops, was detained while dropping his kids off at school. He died less than 24 hours after being taken into ICE custody. We need answers and accountability now.

This is nothing short of a ban on Asian immigrants. The fact that people are thinking of this in terms of how it impacts US businesses and not people and families continues to perpetuate the harmful notion that Asians are only good for labor 1/ cnn.com/2025/09/19/politics/…

All of our immigrant communities are whole beings who deserve dignity and respect. I hope you all will join me in condemning the dehumanization this administration is inflicting on Asian communities with this action.  2/

Sickened by this act of violence. 💔 Holding my Indian-American siblings in my heart. We’ve seen a rising incidence of hate against South Asians spreading like wildfire on social media since the last election. 1/
A Hindu man was beheaded on Wednesday in Texas in front of his wife and kid. The rise in Hinduphobia and crimes targeting Indian Americans are egregious so don't remain silent. newindianexpress.com/nation/…

Congress voted to pass the largest job-killing bill in history. Congress voted to take away health care from 17 million people to pay for tax breaks for billionaires. Congress voted to take away food assistance from 3 million people. Congress voted to betray working people.

Tonight, the President ignored the Constitution by unilaterally engaging our military without Congressional authorization. I join my colleagues in demanding answers from the Administration on this operation which endangers American lives and risks further escalation and dangerous destabilization of the region.

I am pleased to see the Legislature’s budget proposal reflect many of the key priorities that the East Bay elected me to deliver on – from funding Bay Area transit, making investments in public safety, avoiding cuts to UC, increasing affordable housing and tackling homelessness.

Trump continues to detain/deport innocent American citizens. *Even a child battling cancer. Until this stops, stay LOUD. Be peaceful. But be present.

On Friday, I wrote to President Trump to urge him to abandon his plans for another "travel ban," which would run contrary to American values and interests. Such a ban could abandon thousands of people in Afghanistan facing Taliban reprisals for helping American service members.
