Nigeria Is Under Siege. We Are At War. Across the country, citizens live in fear of kidnappers, bandits, and terrorists. Families are forced to pray that their loved ones simply make it home safely. When children are now prisoners of war for 31 days and counting, it is fair to ask: where is the urgency? The first duty of government is the protection of lives and property. Yet days continue to pass without the kind of progress that should give families hope. We cannot normalize insecurity. We cannot become comfortable with captivity. We cannot move on while families are still waiting. #insecurity #hashimiscoming

Day 29. Today, we pray. Pray for the children in captivity. Pray for their safe return. Pray that God protects every Nigerian from the hands of kidnappers and bandits. Pray for our leaders that they may have the compassion and courage to do what is right. Pray for our nation. Day 29. Don’t forget the children.

June 12 was the marking of a Democratic Nigeria. Twenty-seven years later, the challenge is ensuring that the system works for every Nigerian. It is very shameful that we will have to mark today’s celebration with children in captivity, insecurity and a host of other problems facing our great nation. What use is a democracy when the underprivileged are not captured. Some leaders ask for power. Others ask a nation to believe again. For decades, @HashimTalks Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has stood for democracy, national unity, and a Nigeria that works for all. As we reflect on our democratic journey, let us also look forward to the future we deserve. Join the movement. Join the Hashim Support Group. #June12 #DemocracyDay #GbengaOlawepoHashim #HashimIsComing #HopeForNigeria

It breaks my heart knowing another day has gone by and those kids are still not home where they belong
Twenty-seven days is far too long. Twenty-seven nights of empty beds. Twenty-seven mornings of unanswered prayers. Twenty-seven days stolen from children who belong at home. The silence is becoming unbearable. Can President Tinubu abandon his grandchildren with violent criminals for 27 days? While voices across the nation continue to speak, demand answers, and refuse to forget, these children are still not home. Day 27. Bring them home.

the fact that we just moved on from this is something else. almost a month yet and the government haven’t made any move towards rescuing those poor children. and the worse part is that they keep abducting more school children.

Children belong in classrooms and at home with their families, not in the hands of violent criminals. Day 27. Bring them home.

We cannot normalize this. We cannot become comfortable with children spending nearly a month in captivity. Keep speaking up. Keep demanding answers. Bring them home. 💔🙏🏽

The longer this goes on, the more painful it gets. They are just children, they deserve to be home. 💔
