A special issue on structured illumination related topics has just appeared. royalsocietypublishing.org/t… This was originally linked to a SIM-Posium (thanks @kirtiprakash25) but then came the pandemics.

Teaching optics made easy using @OpenUc2 and the beautifully designed charts from @me_justB. 4f no problem, even for elementary school. Light-Sheet microscopes? Pfff, one more cube and you're done. Almost done with the documents. Christmas is coming soon. Wait for it 😍

Cleared tissue ASLM is online: nature.com/articles/s41592-0… It enables isotropic, subcellular resolution over large field of views and is compatible with all clearing techniques (n=1.33-1.559). We use ctASLM to image mouse brains, kidneys and bone marrow. Image shows stem cell niche.

I take a bag and put the following ingredients to travel to Peru to make a contribution for the equilibrium of science (not only a phenomenon known from physics). Mostly set to bring #OpenUc2 to Peru. Hopefully the air in the andes makes the in-line holographic imaging possible

#brainfood I Scientists from Jena made it possible to use a smartphone as a part of a microscope to visualize biological samples. The team will show you in two workshops in October, how the microscope works and how you can build it yourself. #lichtwerkstattjena #jena #science
