13 years ago I ran my 1st Marathon. It was 2 1/2 years post my final #stemcell transplant and I ran for @AnthonyNolan because my first 2 transplants came from a donor they found. My 3rd transplant was a ‘last chance saloon’ #Haplo. The man who saved my life was my son

Morning all, it’s now some 5 weeks on from my surgery to remove a massive brain tumour. I am doing very well and I am a bit ahead of where I thought I’d be. Thanks for all the kind messages. I just hope I never have to go through the emotional trauma again

Myelodysplasic Syndromes are pretty rare in the UK. Just 2500 people diagnosed each year. As cancers go the curative options are slim too…
