Love this. Wishing @simonhill1894 and Andy Harper all the best for a brilliant call of #Socceroos v Türkiye. Have watched all games so far while channelling the great Mr Football Les Murray who first introduced me to the splendour of the FIFA World Cup.
Getting the band back together 😉 @Socceroos v Turkey, coming up on @SEN_Football ⚽️ 📻

Roberto Carlos after Morocco took the lead against Brazil: 🗣️ “This is unacceptable. I'm watching Brazil right now and I don't recognize the team on the pitch. They look lost, confused, and completely out of answers. Morocco deserve credit because they're playing with courage, but Brazil are making it far too easy for them. Every time Morocco go forward, it looks like they believe they can score again. What frustrates me most is the body language. Where are the leaders? Where is the reaction? This is the World Cup, not a friendly match. You cannot concede and then start walking around hoping someone else fixes the problem. For years, people have feared Brazil. Right now, it looks like Brazil are the ones playing with fear. Morocco look hungrier, sharper, and far more determined to win every duel. The badge doesn't win matches. History doesn't win matches. If Brazil continue playing like this, they won't be talking about a comeback—they'll be talking about one of the biggest embarrassments of the tournament. And let me be very clear: if Morocco eliminate Brazil tonight, nobody in that dressing room should be shocked. The warning signs have been there from the first whistle.”

Stop playing politics, you rank opportunist. Let's just enjoy the Socceroos win, politics & sport can be a lethal combination.
Not according to Poorline Hanson! They wouldn’t have been allowed into Australia if she had been in charge!

Love the faces of the Socceroo fans in the crowd. Nothing beats that feeling of watching the team you’re passionate about win on foreign land particularly at an event as big as the World Cup. The cost alone would be a huge sacrifice. Congrats to the team and all their fans.

Ronaldo Nazário on Brazil’s performance after a slow first half: 🗣️ “This is not the Brazil I grew up watching. At this level, talent is not enough if you don’t show intensity from the first minute. When you wear this shirt, every game is supposed to feel like a final. Right now, it looks like they are waiting for something to happen instead of making it happen. Morocco are doing what good teams do in the World Cup they are organized, they are aggressive, and they believe they can hurt Brazil. That is dangerous when you allow it to grow. What worries me is not just the result, it’s the reaction. There is no urgency, no anger, no clear leadership when things are not going well. In tournaments like this, you don’t have time to “grow into the game.” If you are not ready from the start, you will suffer against anyone. Brazil still have time, but they need to remember who they are supposed to be because right now, they are not playing like it.”

Ronaldinho ahead of Brazil's World Cup clash against Morocco national football team: 🗣️ “A lot of people are already talking about Brazil's next match, and that's exactly why Morocco are dangerous. The moment you start looking past them is the moment they remind you why they belong on this stage. I've heard people call Morocco underdogs, but I don't see it that way. This is a team that has spent years proving they can compete with anyone. They don't play with fear, and that's what makes them so difficult to face. Brazil have the bigger reputation, but the World Cup doesn't care about reputation. It doesn't care how many trophies you've won in the past or how famous your players are. It only cares about what happens over ninety minutes. What worries me is that Morocco love these kinds of games. They love being doubted. They love hearing that Brazil are expected to win. That mentality can make a team extremely dangerous when the pressure starts building. If Brazil play with intensity and respect, they can win. But if they think the badge alone will be enough, they could be in for a very long night. The World Cup has embarrassed bigger favourites than this before. People want to talk about Brazil lifting the trophy, but first they have to get through Morocco. And trust me, if Morocco eliminate Brazil, it won't be called a surprise inside football it will be called a warning that nobody listened to.”

What an unbelievable result. I don’t think even the most optimistic Socceroos fan could’ve predicted that. Similar vibe to the first-up game against Japan in 2006. And how good were the goals? Two absolute crackers from Irankunda and Metcalfe #FIFAWorldCup

I'mRonaldo Nazário on the importance of Neymar after Brazil's disappointing performance against Morocco national football team: 🗣️ “After watching that match, I don't want to hear anyone say Brazil don't need Neymar. The game exposed exactly why he remains one of the most important players this country has produced. When Brazil were struggling, who was demanding the ball? Who was slowing the game down when it became chaotic? Who was capable of creating something from absolutely nothing? Those are the questions people should be asking. For years, people focused on Neymar's goals, skills, and headlines. What they failed to appreciate was the responsibility he carries. When things go wrong, Brazil naturally look towards him. Against Morocco, Brazil looked like a team with talent but without a clear reference point. There was no player consistently taking control of the rhythm, no player forcing the opposition to change their plan. I'm not saying Neymar would have magically solved every problem. Football doesn't work like that. But I am saying Morocco would have been thinking about him every second they were on the pitch. That's the difference between a great player and a special player. One plays the game. The other changes how the entire game is played around him. And after what I watched, one thing became very clear: Brazil have many talented players. But they still don't have another Neymar.”

Cafu on Brazil’s shocking performance against Morocco national football team last night: 🗣️ “I don’t even know where to start because what I watched was not the Brazil I know. This is a team that should be setting the tempo, controlling the game, making Morocco chase shadows but instead, it was the other way around. Morocco didn’t just compete, they dictated. They looked sharper, faster, and more aggressive in every duel. And for me, that is unacceptable when you are wearing the Brazil shirt. People can talk about tactics all they want, but what I saw was attitude. You cannot step onto a World Cup pitch and be second to every ball. That has nothing to do with talent that is desire. The most worrying thing is how passive Brazil looked after going behind. No urgency, no leadership, no one grabbing the game and saying ‘enough.’ That is not a small issue that is a big problem. Morocco deserve credit, yes, but Brazil cannot fall into this pattern of being reactive. Brazil are supposed to impose themselves, not wait for permission to play. If this continues, we are not talking about one bad night anymore we are talking about a team losing its identity. And for Brazil, that is the most dangerous thing that can happen at a World Cup.”
